I could tell from his first plug he was gonna be really good at this
here is one of the two he made for me...they sit pretty

BigFish 09-30-2004 08:37 PM

Don't forget to take the hook protectors off Mr. Photog!:D Matt got paid up front!;)

Hey! Isn't that my quarter?

riverrat2 09-30-2004 08:45 PM

HABS Clone?

Slingah 09-30-2004 08:46 PM

don't start trouble rr2...it's a piece of wood....

riverrat2 09-30-2004 08:49 PM

NOT trying to start trouble at all, the plug is sweet. Just saying it looks like a Habs not a bad thing at all. If I made plugs I would try to copy HAbs as much as possible:D

BigFish 09-30-2004 08:50 PM

Immitation is the sincerest form of flattery.......I admire Habs work, not to mention his character. John is a great guy and has been very helpful along the way. I might be able to make just about anything I want.....but I still got a bunch of Habs in my bag, and I always will! (Right Slingah?):D

Slingah 09-30-2004 08:51 PM

I was joking;)

riverrat2 09-30-2004 08:53 PM

Anyways, killer plugs Bigfish. How do your big needles sit in the water?

BigFish 09-30-2004 08:56 PM

Thanks RR2!;) They are 10 inches long and I wanted them to suspend so the first time I tried them they were too light......so I doubled the weight in the butt and added weight to the nose and now they do exactly what I made them for.....swim about 2 feet below the surface!:D We will see how they work next week when Slingah, Joey G and I swim them down in Rhode Island!

:D

Slingah 09-30-2004 09:00 PM

stop sayin we are goin to the cape on all the threads when you know dam right well we are goin to Rhode Island:smash:

BigFish 09-30-2004 09:01 PM

CS,

Those squids make my drool everytime I see them. I have a stash of hard maple dowels at home with some interesting grain patterns. Can't wait to pick out a nice looking piece and just clear coat it to see what it looks like when done.

Nice work to everyone who posted picks here. Incredible talent on this board. Once I get some practice with the new air brush I'll post some of mine. No more cans for me!

Flaptail 10-01-2004 12:35 PM

Karl, I got your needle. It's a squidy red/gold Floyd Roman paint copy with Demons eyes on a modified bm blank with the shaved nose. It's a rare item. You are gonna love it. Wanna fish the canal in the morning? You gotta come west sometime.:D

Karl F 10-01-2004 01:39 PM

 sounds great Flap... got to work in the morning, besides never leave fish ;) right? thanks for offer tho... gotta learn the canal sometime, meybe I'll tag along sometime.
