my lathe broke and I don't know when I am going to be able to get it fixed.

I have everything ready, materials purchased, but I broke something last night.

I am trying to figure it out so I will keep you posted.

Not bowing out yet, just not sure what is going to happen.

Mine are all built but not all painted yet. If there are going to be 8 or 9 extra's I'd like to make em different colors. Maybe even trade some at Plugfest.

I'm definitely still in it....I got 32 of mine all painted and Scuff-coated.....10 of those have been epoxied and are ready to roll.

I'm still in. I need to get over this head cold so I can paint them, but they'll be done soon. Then I have to find non-frozen water to swim them in:poke:.

I'm crankin away. Sealed and ready for primer. The last leg is always the longest.

I'm still in, hopefully getting them all clear coated this weekend.

lessons learned..

1) when doing this many plugs.. pick something simple

2) buy a stinkin duplicator

3) see number 1

Don't forget #4...Start in October.


and # 5......Make extras

Although I've never done swaps, I have done large lots for charity and raffles... I find that once set up, lots of 5 make the time pass better,when the first lot is finished being turned, I then drill it and soak it, then procede to the next lot, so on and so forth, that way, you give yourself a break, eventualy youll have some at each stage of work so it doesnt start feeling like a job,some will be being turned while others are being painted, or finished,that way, it still keeps it in hobby mode....

I make extras because I always...

Screw one up drilling the through hole
Screw one up turning it
Screw one up making the Eye Sockets and Hook holes
Screw one up Painting it....(that one becomes Blurple)
and Screw one (or 2) up when I'm epoxying them.

Hence....Make Extras.

Last year I ended up going back in and spinning up another one everytime one of the above happened.

Still working away, slower than I wanted, but making progress.
