Good Luck Big Fish. Some of my fondest childhood memories involve my brother kicking the crap out of me.

2na 02-21-2008 08:23 AM

Good news to start the AM! Glad it worked out with just minor trauma to child and parents.

Larry,

Gonna have to make allot more plugs to pay that Insurance premium. I heard it is about an addition Thousand for a teenage driver. I think I wait till my kids are 20!!!!

Glad the outcome was good. Scary moments for sure. My 2 boys 21 & 16 fight like hell. Nothing serious but man you'd think at their age they would catch on. Actually It's my older son who instigates when he comes home from college. I don't know what the rules will be when he graduates in May. Seperate rooms and an iron fist!!!!!!!!!

basshunter 02-21-2008 10:09 PM

Larry, I'm very happy and relieved to hear that he was released. Maybe you (and the rest of the family) can get some sleep. That is until little fish gets his license, cross that bridge when you get to it!!!!! Anyway, many wishes until a complete recovery happens...

gone fishin 02-21-2008 10:15 PM

Larry - time to look for a Wrangler for the new driver. About 02 stick shift etc. Those were the days ....................:kewl::kewl:

MarshCappa 02-22-2008 10:58 AM

I'm happy there was no need for surgery. I hope he has a fast recovery.

Saltheart 02-22-2008 11:39 AM

Glad to hear he is better.
Stuff happens. I played football and wrestled and did some karate and boxing but the closest i ever came to being nocked out cold was from the paw of a very affectionate dog. Just the wrong move by me and her at the same time and a hit in just the right spot and I was on my way to lights out. :) You never know.

Moses 02-22-2008 11:40 AM

Larry - a little late seeing this thread but glad all turned out well. You are right, boys will be boys.

Rappin Mikey 02-22-2008 04:45 PM

T$ps sent Larry.

BasicPatrick 02-22-2008 04:54 PM

Thak God it was more a scare...Prayer works big guy...the boys will get through it and learn some lessons like how much they care about each other...good stuff once the fear passes by...good news for a good family.

Tagger 02-22-2008 06:06 PM

Glad all is well .. as a parent of 2 boys I can relate .. best buds now,, but boy it was rough for a while there ..

hardcore from shore 02-22-2008 09:43 PM

Thoughts and prayers for all of you.
Bill

Pete F. 02-22-2008 10:22 PM

Glad to hear all is well, as one of four boys and the father of 5 children I can relate.
And could tell some horror stories, luckily none with bad endings.

Backbeach Jake 02-22-2008 11:51 PM

Glad to hear the boy is OK. They're into the hormonal years now, it'll be real tough for a while. Preach honor and duty and loyalty to them. it helps. Get them into Scouting. That probably saved my life and the lives of others. They're gonna be ok, really. Then they will form a union that only brothers understand, once they reach their common ground, but your hair will go gray in the process, but it is all worth it, have a Tums....

BigFish 02-23-2008 04:22 AM

Fred....maybe you did not notice my gray hair because of my hat.....but the beard was a dead give away! Its going gray baby.....for some time now! With drivers license time looming, I am trying to enjoy that which is still a tinge darker while I can!:conf:
