Eureka! The 5 gallon bucket with the gang plank finally worked. Got one and two more are going to meet their fate.

UserRemoved1 07-23-2011 04:02 PM

Mine are back under the pool liner again. How the hell do they find a burrow underground from 6' away WTF :smash:

Missed the hole, this time it wasn't at the base of the pool. This time he started 4' away from the pool.

Congrats Jimbo leave him out on the lawn for the fox I bet it will be gone in the morning. Mine are every time now.

Hey Salty...thinking of you, buddy!! Mono line through a tarp grommet and attached to a pistachio. Watch as he runs away. "Slight" pull and away we go!

with your back yards length
its a proverbial gauntlet

so start a feeding station right
smack dad in the middle
as far back as ya can
where hawks and owls can
swoop in on them in your absense

and you'll herd them like a cowboy
they'll make all their tunnels down there
Instead

UserRemoved1 07-24-2011 03:54 PM

ha! I just got one behind the pool. Fresh holes too beyond yesterdays. First shot right over his head by 5" and didn't even flinch. Grrr reload. Don't move you little mofo. 10 clicks. Steady on the fence POW I saw his entire white underbelly go flying off the rock. He got back in his hole. If he ain't dead by now he's gonna be a bit swollen for a few days. :hee:

I've been observing this thread for awhile. Munks have taken over my yard and now foxes are coming in and digging huge holes all over the place trying to get the, someone has to go....
I used one of the big storage containers (giant tupperware) and filled it with water and sunflower seeds. put a few 2/4 from the bulkhead to the container. I've fished 12 out over the last 3 days. remember those red squirrels that invaded my garage? fished 5 out too.
Also set up a have a hart trap on the other side of the house - 5 caught and dunked so far. Still see tons in the yard but Im chipping away (pun intended)

Pee around the areas where the chipmunk holes are. It will keep the chipmunks and foxes away. I've been peeing outside when I get home late from fishing.

I also recently noticed the red squirrels around my yard. Must be about 6 of them that I've seen. I'll keep peeing, but maybe I'l try the suflower trick with them, too.

My tally may be a little off but in less than one week I have over 20 munks and 10 red squirrels. I am actually staring to feel bad about this. I filled up there holes and so far no ones been digging. I closed up the extermination camp and moved the have a hart to the front yard to catch any stragglers.
Dont bother with a 5 gal bucket, go with 20-30 gal container, set up a few cinder blocks so they can climb up, fill with water until about 6 inches from the top and fill with seeds. :uhuh:

Another one. 60' + shot. Front middle rock. Sittin there fat dumb n happy. Knocked the litter #^&#^&#^&#^&er right off the rock too. He fell down into his hole and I could see the poor little lifeless hole diggin bastid layin deader than a rock :hee:

I find you can dial the gun in for different length shots. Out that far you aim a few inches low. Kinda like your gonna shoot his feet out :hee:

When you miss you can sometimes see the pellet trajectory LOL I've missed enough times now I'm gettin smarter :smash:

They were all over the yard like white on rice upto 2 weeks ago.
Then over the last 2 weeks they all disappeared.
Yesterday I go out to cut the lawn and there was a large dropping
laying there. Has to be a coydog or the return of the fischer cat
as there are no cats or fox showings anywhere.
