Floridaman's end results will be the same as Bernie's Floridaman claimed that tariffs are “the greatest,” and trade wars are “easy to win,” but the economic backlash was easy to foresee. The political success of Bernie brought “democratic socialism” to 30% of the Democratic Party, Floridaman’s economic nationalism will end up at the same destination for all. Floridaman’s tariffs enable him to directly pick winners and losers in the economy. The interests of steel workers are being placed above the interest of consumers and farmers. This leads to Floridaman using tax dollars to prop up farmers. Of course this spending means that consumers are hit, with their tax dollars paying for Floridaman's new welfare program. Floridaman's welfare goes to large corporate farms, he's losing support from the little guys. Probably things will trickle down to them. Floridaman's tariffs cause businesses to seek ways around them, like Harley moving some manufacturing to Europe. This pissed off Floridaman. The more Floridaman digs in to protectionism, the more he will interfere with individual companies. The domestic policy of government interference with business is a necessary corollary of present-day protectionism. The result is an economy that increasingly replaces the market with state control. Floridaman's policies are just as great a long term threat to the American economy as that posed by the Sanderistas. |

Before the Floridaman, we had the stagnant NewNormalman who resolved to continue the managed decline of America in the face of a presumed inevitable rise of China to replace us as the dominant world economic power which would take our place and replace the dollar as the primary world currency with its own Yuan. Apparently, protectionism in other countries, at the expense of the U.S., didn't suffer the consequences in some of those countries that you say it should. But, it is likely, that if the U.S. decides not to be the patsy anymore, then that foreign protectionism will collapse, as you say it should. Ergo, the need for the U.S. to fight back, not by military war, but economic war. Some of the Trade policies that hurt us pre-Floridaman have been peacefully negotiated (NAFTA, Japan, SKorea). Britain is coming up. China is in the works. Our economy is in fine shape. The new trade relationships should help to keep it that way. If that all falls apart, it was heading into crap anyway. |

To bad Trump creates all the drama "Congratulations to Attorney General Bill Barr for taking charge of a case that was totally out of control and perhaps should not have even been brought," Trump said on Twitter. "Evidence now clearly shows that the Mueller Scam was improperly brought & tainted. Even Bob Mueller lied to Congress!" |

Drama, baloney, Floridaman just said he didn't know what Roger Stone did to deserve 9 years.
Here's the answer: Stone was convicted by a jury of his peers in a Federal Court of 7 felonies with a maximum sentence of 50 years. He lied, obstructed Congress and threatened a witness against him. 9 years is fair, within the sentencing guidelines and deserved. Now we should ask why Floridaman doesn't understand that. |
I love it. More feigned outrage from the flakes

All those DOJ prosecutors resigned because they got better job offers and not because Trump’s highered gun exerted influence over established sentencing guidelines.
