oops....

A U.S. Postal Service mail carrier from Hudson County, New Jersey, was arrested for discarding mail, including 99 general election ballots sent from the County Board of Elections that were intended to be delivered to West Orange residents, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced.

Nicholas Beauchene, 26, of Kearny, is charged by complaint with one count of delay, secretion, or detention of mail and one count of obstruction of mail.

Beauchene is scheduled to appear Wednesday afternoon in Newark federal court.

According to court documents, roughly 1,875 pieces of mail – including 627 pieces of first class, 873 pieces of standard class, two pieces of certified mail, 99 general election ballots destined for residents in West Orange, and 276 campaign flyers from local candidates for West Orange Town Council and Board of Education – were recovered from dumpsters in North Arlington and West Orange on Oct. 2 and Oct. 5.

The intended destination for the ballots and campaign flyers are heavily Democratic areas.

So any postal crime constitutes voting fraud?

when you go from the couch in your living room to the refrigerator in your kitchen do you wander through your neighbor's yard on the way?

spence 10-07-2020 04:00 PM

So what we're really seeing is a postal worker dumped some mail, 5% of which were ballots, for some unknown reason, and the USPS Inspector caught the guy and the mail was placed back in the system.

In other words the system worked.

2 more attempts of voter suppression blocked.. seems Republicans dont love the American people as much as love trying to limit peoples right to vote

One county was to have a single drop box for over four million residents.

I can’t believe that radical activist just followed common sense.

However, with the latest ruling from the Court of Appeal, the state can now continue limiting the number of drop-off points.

Texas has a limit on who can request absentee ballots. Only voters who are over 65, have a disability, are in jail or who will be out of town on election day are allowed to vote by post.

Governor Abbott's ruling means that some people in Harris County, home to more than four million, will only have one point in the entire county to hand in their ballot paper.

why would they want to restrict these people more ? their the only ones by law who can vote by absentee ballot anyway .

Makes no sense

wayne, do you understand the difference between absentee ballots and mail out/mail in ballots yet?

scottw 10-11-2020 03:26 PM

this should not be that tough...

There the same they only differ by name .. how is a drop box different from a mail box?

Do you understand why places have drop boxes?

BLAME Trumps rhetoric on mail in ballots people want to insure their vote gets counted because he's messing with the post office and fostering doubts

But this is the real reason why Trump and his campaign are against mail in ballots and drop boxes.

nineteen per cent of Trump supporters said that they planned to vote by mail, compared with sixty-nine per cent of Biden supporters

But please keep trying to suggest its something else. When it's clearly voter suppression

California Republicans are allegedly setting up fake 'official' drop-off boxes to harvest ballots

The church posted on social media that the box was “approved and brought by the GOP.” The post said church officials don’t have a key to the box and that GOP officials picks up the ballots. A pastor for the church didn’t respond to a request for comment.

On its website, the Fresno County Republican Party also shared a list of “secure” ballot collection locations. None are official county drop box sites, with the local GOP instead listing its own headquarters, multiple gun shops and other local businesses.

People waiting ten hours in line to vote, yup it’s really been made easy to do your civic duty! I drove five minutes yesterday and dropped off my ballot, but that’s not happening where they don’t really want it to be that easy.

Prob. bc there was more than 1 box for millions of people and he didn't have to drive hundreds of miles.

To bad the Repubs. didn't want to help others to "manage " to vote.

people have managed just fine for many years acting like responsible adult citizens...but according to democrats they are suddenly too stupid or lazy to do so...we don't need to "help" someone else vote unless they request help...like requesting an absentee ballot, which they can easily do...we don't need to go to their door, drag them out of the house and down to the polls to cast their vote which is basically where the democrats and their little fringe groups are at.......I assume adult Americans who want to vote will do so and are fully capable as has been done for years

no they haven't. it has frequently been a problem since the scummy :rotf3:Repub. have figured out that if everyone votes they won't win.

No one is being stopped from voting. It is up to the voters, if they want a particular person to win, to vote in whatever way is available to them. If they think that voting in person is too difficult, and they don't have a disability that prevents them from doing so, then they don't think it's all that important if their candidate wins or loses.

some locations stretched more than five hours long, particularly in the Atlanta metro area.

I guess you dont see this as a problem.. So do I stand in line for 5 hrs and risk getting fired or losing a days Pay.. or do I stand in line for 5 hrs because some party removed polling places in the hopes I dont vote

5 hrs in line is voter suppression reguardless
