Danger Man for me this week, blast from the past. Hard to remember the last time I saw Bromberg. Prior to the attempted violin making anyways. Glad he is kind of back at it. YouTube - David Bromberg/ Danger Man |

I can honestly say that this gentleman is so far ahead of any other musician I listen to. The way he writes, arranges and plays music is almost a religious experience for me. So complex and thought provoking it is really hard to put him in a single category. Every album is so well done and the musicians he surrounds himself with are second to none. If you know this music, really dig this guy, I think you will agree with me if you don't I hope you will take the time to investigate him, he has so much to choose from.
couple I have been listening to this week, hard to pick a few as he has so many. YouTube - Pat Metheny - Tell Her You Saw Me YouTube - Pat Metheny Group - Have you heard |
I was listening to the Gary Burton, Chic Corea, Pat album just yesterday (on my to do list to send you some of that), but picked Gabriel for SOW

That is some very nice stuff. Where have they been hiding for 30 years? did the wiki thing to check em out). I gotta get out more.
Robben Ford this week, I have to listen to this one at least three times in a row when I do. YouTube - Robben Ford http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Hcj2...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9dYh...eature=related He just rocks!! |
Did I mention that he rocks
YouTube - Robben Ford- The Miller's Son- Ohne Filter, Germany 1997 I think I did. In my dreams I see Robben Ford and Steve Morse on stage together. YouTube - steve morse band, cruise control That would just be awesome. |
yes it would.
I'm going to see Roben the nite before thanksgiving in Fall River at a small venue. You should go if you have the time. I am even going to drag my 10 year old daughter to show her what real musicians look like. |
Very tempting. Need to get the social chairwomen to decide where we are going to be for Thanksgiving before I can commit though. I see Pat is touring as well, and Zappa. I need to win lotto so I can support my music habit.
|
LOL. eddie, matt, and I are going to see Zappa too in Dec. in Boston
I got to get me one of those T shirts that say Oh that Dweezil |
