I love it, chili that is, gonna be a little later still waiting for my plasterer to come fix a couple of cracks for me. He said he is running a little late and won't be here till 3 so i won't be there till 4 -430

TheSpecialist 01-09-2010 02:35 PM

Rick check your pms

TheSpecialist 01-09-2010 03:22 PM

Rick the plasterer still isn't here yet and he just called to say he was finished and cleaning up and would see in about 1/2 an hr. So I am not going to make it today sorry. If you look at your pms call me.

RickBomba 01-10-2010 06:06 PM

So, I think turnout is going to be pretty good (maybe 100 people), and I am thinking that the prizes should be revamped. I'd like to do 10 prizes, as follows:

1. 1st prize, biggest bass
2. 2nd prize, second biggest bass
3. 3rd prize, biggest pickeral
4. 3rd biggest bass
5. 2nd biggest pickeral
6. 3rd biggest pickeral
7. 4th biggest bass
8. 4th biggest pickeral

Wildcards
1. Biggest panfish
2. 2nd biggest panfish

I'm going to take 85% of the money and 100% of the plugs and divide them up accordingly.

I'm also going to take the other 15% of the money and use it to buy food so we all can have a great gourmet meal on the ice.

The only thing I ask is that everybody brings some plates, utensils, napkins, and PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE pack out your trash.

Sound good everybody??? Now let's get a rollcall of everybody who's going.

Later,
Rick

PS - We've got two scales right now...thinking that we should have three weigh in zones with three weigh masters. My crew is usually on the western edge of the res, and we'll use Messy Matty or myself as a weigh master.

I'm thinking there should be the northeast contingent, who could be maybe Tynan or Rob Rock in that end.

Then south with somebody who'd like to volunteer, but we'll need one more scale. Maybe WESTPORTMAFIA or Hemdukas if one of you guys has a scale???
Let me know,
Rick

Backbeach Jake 01-11-2010 06:57 AM

Rick, will you need a stove? I have a 3 burned coleman converted to gas that works really well.
I'll be there Friday Night til Sunday morning. Just point and shout.

WESTPORTMAFIA 01-11-2010 11:02 AM

I have a digital and a fake me out boga. I'm down just let me know. I will also be staying over Friday night and will most likely meet up with you guys.

it was way to cold last weekend with temps at -3

global warming my ass

RickBomba 01-11-2010 06:28 PM

OK, so I have some updates as far as logistics and rules go:

1. All contestants will need to register with me before they can weigh a fish. Entry fee is $15 or one custom made wood plug.

2. I'll need the help of weighmasters. Westport, if you're down, you can be one, and I'm looking for one more. Weighing fish makes the day go by fast, but it sucks if you get tips. People will need to travel to the weighmasters to weigh the fish. We'll try to be strategically distributed around the res. I usually fish the western side, maybe Westport can be on the northeast and another on the southeast.

3. Fishing starts at 7 am...that means you can put traps in the water at 7.

Well that's it for now. Any ideas, let me know, and I'd be happy to take them into consideration.
Thanks,
Rick

Fred,
I will take all the cooking implements I can get. Does it run on the green canisters?
Thanks,
Rick
PS - Glad you are down for the duration, my cell is 781 439 1918. We should be there around 8:30 or so, so maybe we can all go over to the Pick for a quick beer.

Green canisters, aye. I also have an unconverted two burner and a gallon of coleman fuel. I'll bring it too. These are big stoves. See you at the Pick.

RickBomba 01-11-2010 07:30 PM

WESTPORTMAFIA will be there, too. We'll likely check in, and head right over.

eelskimmer 01-14-2010 11:43 AM

Location on Resevoir for BB tourney??

According to map I got off internet Brimfield
resevoir has about 5-6 access points from
top to bottom. Which is one for parking
and meeting up with youse.??

RickBomba 01-14-2010 12:07 PM

Definately bring the grill. Eelskimmah, look for Champeaux Rd, runs across the northern part of the Res up near the pike.

tynan19 01-14-2010 07:51 PM

Skimmer, will I have to tow ya out. There won't be any golf carts around there.

Rappin Mikey 01-15-2010 01:32 PM

RickBomba 01-15-2010 02:13 PM
