As far as I know every public school in this country is under the control of elected officials.
Any citizen can run.
Intimidating elected officials looks like the new method of controlling political outcomes.
Trump’s lasting legacy will be what we now see daily. If you’re not on my team then I’m gonna kill you. It’s why exploiting divisions is the worst sin a leader can commit.
The New York Post reported that freshman Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) appeared to be “visibly shaken” as Trump attacked her and her 12 GOP colleagues during his speech at the National Republican Congressional Committee dinner.

Jim and Scott and the rest of the GOP and its supporters all seem to have stayed at a Holiday inn express

they want Parents to drive education and suddenly they are the subject experts ... even if The authority to determine the curriculum rests with the district, not individual teachers. But parents know better.:bs:

they think they know more than medical professionals and demand Ivermectin and against Masks

they think the POTUS and the government control the price of Gas and can control the prices of food in a capitalistic system

they think Trump won the election reguardless of what elected officials said in both republicans and democrats .. it was not True

The Current GOP and it followers have decided They are the only arbiter's of truth.. and subject matter experts

what's next Plumbers writing electrical Code

Anti-intellectual Americans AKA GOPQ

were more likely to prefer anti-expert politicians like Trump

Julia mentions her large boobs often and talks about how men stare at them.
Julia also stops for condoms
julia goes with her to get a pregnancy test Lorena’s friend Juanga is a gay teen
Julia notes that the kids are dancing so close they are practically dry humping. She says that someone’s going to be pregnant by the end of the dance.
She compares a bald guy at a party to a scrotum

oh the horror a book describing what kids at that age talk about and experience

Jim and you still can not provide one example where these books are part of and school curriculum ... Am I am not surprised

Any citizen can object and petition the elected officials for changes in policies. Are you suggesting that once officials are elected they have unmitigated power to do as they please without complaint or redress from the citizens? You do seem to like all powerful forms of governing.

Intimidating elected officials looks like the new method of controlling political outcomes.

It is the citizens right and duty in a democracy--but apparently not in your version of "our democracy"--it is their right and duty to protest what they see as malfeasance. Isn't that what all the riots and demonstrations that you approve of are about? But it's not necessary to riot. Protests can be voiced in board meetings and town halls and letters and phone calls and petitions among various peaceful ways to communicate their objections. It is very democratic to "intimidate" elected officials with complaints that can lead to being voted out of office if they don't comply.

he got the books at school, to read for english class. did you ever go to school?

there was much more graphic language than what you posted. sorry, that’s a fact.

how would i prove that, wayne? want me to get a letter from his english teacher?

the boards of ed aren’t denying that these books are part of the courses. if your brain can’t process that, that’s in you.

it's not new.....this is stupid....what you characterize as intimidation for one side you refer to as "how democracy works for the other"....pathetic

"Jim and Scott and the rest of the GOP and its supporters all seem to have stayed at a Holiday inn express "

What in Gods name does this mean?

"they want Parents to drive have a say in education"

fixed it for you.

"they are the subject experts"

I don't concede that it requires much "expertise" to know that there's better uses for school resources than having my kid read about going down on a girl, and being taught that his skin color is a character flaw.

Wayne, maybe if someone advocated more on your educational behalf, you wouldn't think that "I bet you stayed at a Holiday Inn Express" is some kind of insult. Maybe youd see the irony when you claim Republicans are fascists, but you want huge piles of money from us and claim we have no say in how it's spent.

"The authority to determine the curriculum rests with the district, not individual teachers"

Which is why parents are going to BOE meetings.

"they think the POTUS and the government control influence the price of Gas "

fixed it for you.

"they want Parents to drive education and suddenly they are the subject experts"

In that post, you were adamant that parents don't know enough about education to chime in.

Have you ever bothered to see how homeschooled kids do, compared to kids who go to public school? They do pretty well. Pretty darn well. If parents don't have a clue about education, why aren't home-schooled kids lagging behind?

scottw 11-15-2021 08:23 AM

maybe he should explain to the defund the police movement that they have no say in how the city, politicians and/or government spend their tax dollars :btu:

now that you mention it! i’m sure all those people advocating for police reform are subject matter experts in that field? AOC, I’m sure, has a graduate degree in criminal
justice from John Jay College.

As always, it’s ok when they do it. only a problem when we do it.

you’re right, the opposition to CRT is limited to a small number of people in the fringe. Just ask Governor McAuliffe.

oh another difference, those opposed to CRT are expressing themselves exactly as you’d hope - speaking up at BOE meetings. they aren’t rioting, burning down buildings, looting stores.

what happened in VA, tells me that parents agree with Hawley.

Wayne, if you endlessly demean every single thought and idea that comes from the right of where you are, and never actually listen to those people for a second, it’s hard to learn.

i’ve concluded that liberals put their fingers in their ears every single time a conservative talks, because the left is terrified that the public will conclude that there are some good ideas on the right.

none of you are capable of conceding that.

Many Parents don’t want their kids told they should feel guilty because of sins committed by people with the same skin color.

you keep saying all those parents are white supremacists and liars, wayne. the polling shows that’s really a winning strategy, isn’t it?!

You lost VA, a reliably blue state, because of that issue. Biden won VA by 10 points only a year ago, it swung that much that fast, and this was one of the biggest single issues.

you’re embracing an opinion ( parents have no say) that’s not shared even by Virginians. that means the only people who agree with you, are further to the left than those in a state Biden win by 10 points.

Go ahead and limit yourself to places more liberal than VA, see how that works in the midterms.

Justice Dept. Adds Two Top Prosecutors to Matt Gaetz Case
The move by the department is a sign of the complex and high-stakes nature of the sex trafficking investigation into Representative Gaetz.

maybe you have seen the latest on this

A hit piece that was first reported by the New York Times unraveled this week as the source who accused Gaetz of sex trafficking pled guilty in federal court to one count of wire fraud. The faux-scandal originated from claims that Gaetz was engaged in a sexual relationship with a 17 year-old. Vox News Reports–

“Prosecutors are reportedly investigating whether Gaetz had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old and paid for her travel, and payments he and a close associate made to young adult women he had relationships with.”
This week, the smear campaign that was reported by the liberal media went up in flames as Stephen Alford, 62, pled guilty to one count of wire fraud in relation to the accusations. The Washington Examiner Reports–

“A Florida man pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud after attempting to obtain $25 million from the family of Rep. Matt Gaetz, federal prosecutors announced on Monday.

Stephen Alford, 62, appeared in federal court in Pensacola and admitted to orchestrating an extortion scheme against Don Gaetz, the congressman’s wealthy father, and making false promises that he could secure a presidential pardon for his son, who has been linked to a sex-trafficking investigation.”

Alford has a criminal history, including a previous conviction for fraud. After pleading guilty to wire fraud in the Gaetz case, his sentence carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison. He could also face a fine of up to $250,000.

Earlier this year, Project Veritas exposed a CNN staffer saying that they will continue to target Gaetz as he is a “problem for the Democratic Party”. “If the agenda, say, is to get, like, Matt Gaetz right now, he’s like this Republican,” Chester began. “He’s a problem for the Democratic Party because he’s so conservative, right? And he can cause a lot of hiccups in passing of laws and whatnot. So, it would be great for the Democratic Party to get him out. So we’re going to keep running those stories to keep hurting him and make it so that it can’t be buried and, like, just settled outside of court. And just like, you know, if we keep pushing that, it’s helping us.” Said Charles Chester, a CNN staffer.

Pete F. 11-29-2021 10:18 AM

Unfortunately for Rapey McForehead, that case has nothing to do with the federal investigation into his and Joel Greenberg’s criminal behavior.
Just a smokescreen to provide cover
Meanwhile Greenberg’s sentencing is delayed until March, because the feds are completing their case.
