allright - i'll pick a fight w/ the bow, half you guys don't even know which end of the rod to hold. the other half cant tell the difference in a cod, a haddock or a hake. if angler229 is the best the bow can do then you guys are in trouble.

I think I'm gonna get the patch just to be on the safe side.

I think a pool is in order to guess the first person to puke their guts all over the decks, likely someone from the bow!

please dont put me adrift - i'll stop being abrassive. mass dmf site says it's opening up on april 1st - anyone know if that's true or is it the 15th again. jig vs. bait - most of the time i prefer to jig but some circumstances call for bait, even if you just deadstick it while jigging. all my large cod have all been on bait.

mass waters open 4/1 out to 3 mi, fed waters open 4/16

also any of you guys available to fish during the week. boat is good to go - start on haddock in a couple of weeks. and more cod porn

When I spoke to the cap he said it was mainly a jig bite that time of year. But I hear you- sharpies seem to say that the pool fish always comes in on a clam. I figure I'll gut one of the first ones we get, if they're loaded with herring I'll stick to the jig, otherwise I might consider dropping some bait down.

I think f4s is right on that one.

Might be down for a day of fishing once we get to that time, I can help chip for gas and will bring a six pack of good beer.
