there are two different "IT guy" stereotypes, the pale skinny nerd guy... most probably socially inept or the hefty coffee drinking lug however more so keyed in on life and enjoying it. I fall somewhere in between

most are grumpy... which is a downer for me since i try not to be... and hope I will never get there.

The Dad Fisherman 01-31-2008 08:28 AM

i don't think fishing is exercise that will really help with weight loss. ;)

unless you jog/run to your spots.... & jog in place while fishing...:kewl:

Duke41 02-01-2008 11:32 AM

I have been cheating like crazy down 6 pounds last week now up 3 pounds. Switched to the atkins. This sucks.

RickBomba 02-01-2008 12:26 PM

Down 5 today (I know that I'm not in it).
Good luck with the lures guys...

BigBo 02-01-2008 12:45 PM

I think I need to kick it into high gear. 262 this AM :wall: Only an 8lb total.:fury:

scone 02-01-2008 02:41 PM

246 this morning down 21 pounds
have changed my eating habits- no bread, no milk and verry little cheese. smaller portions and eating lots of fruit and veggies has been big for me. i have a fairly physical job and make myself work out every nite including at least 25 minutes on the treadmill and 3-3 minute rounds on the heavybag.
i'm still fat, no portly, but i can see my feet again and if i'm able to keep this up i'll be in the market for new waders this spring!

according to research done by my wife fishing will burn around 114 calories per half hour. don't know if that's surfcasting or working a stream or what. i would think a long distance walk to that special spot would increase that number.

johnny ducketts 02-01-2008 03:52 PM

working out 6x a week on an elliptical for 30 mins a day, and cut out all junk food. eating, lots of veggies and lots of water, plus a daily multivitamin.

JohnR 02-02-2008 09:51 AM
