if you got 9 minutes to invest you won't be disappointed in this tune. Came on the pod last nite and had to listen to it again 9 min later.

lol . that album was in my household when i was a kid. this one too. I actually have several H A tunes on my I pod:uhuh:
YouTube - Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass "The Lonely Bull" He had several specials on TV when i was a youngster and TBH I wanted to take up the trumpet at school because of him. but I never did as i was too busy playing hockey every spare moment of my life back then. But he is one of the reasons i luv horn sections in bands. Thanks |
thanks you two....
I had H.A. albums too.... YouTube - Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass -- Tijuana Taxi |
Caught this today on the eye pod. Luv this guys guitar sound
YouTube - Dave Mason -" look at you look at me" So of course I had to go search this one out too. Even better. Wah Wah pedal solo is fantastic at end. YouTube - Dave Mason / Shouldn't Have Took More Than You Gave |
A lot of classic stuff posted lately. Herb Albert LPs were always way better with him not on the cover, if you know what I mean. Here's some different classsic stuff. Often imitated......(Metallica, Ramones, Danzig, Cradle of Filth, Devo yes Devo I swear...) but not for the "feint of heart".
YouTube - Misfits 1997 - Death Comes Ripping - Die Die my Darling YouTube - The Misfits-American Psycho seemed like a fitting way to end the week on the long drive home last night |
I love the Misfits. Staying with the punk classic stuff here. I hear these guys every once in a while on satellite radio.

Actually would have been Sea Level (thanks again Paul, and yes I will send you some disks, hopefully soonish), but I covered that in the Sea Level thread. Listened to a whole lot of white boy blues as well off the Led Zeppelin BBC sessions set. Best Led out there if you ask me.

Definitely not the best song, nor the best produced video, but I've watched it a lot this week since its the first time I've been posted on YouTube! LOL. I KNOW how bad it is, but its fun for me to watch!

a Passion Play
Listened to this last nite. The whole concept album / song/ play is similar to Thick as a Brick as it is one long song but being broken up by a Peter and the Wolf type tune in the middle. Luv the whole idea of the album and the music is as all Tull albums, superb and for 1973. If you were ever lucky enough to see this band live in its glory you never walked away unimpressed. Always as good live as any album. IMO this band was at the top of the music scene at the time. Here is a little taste. YouTube - Jethro Tull- A Passion Play Edit 8 |
These guys are a relatively new discovery to me. I think they can be appreciated by the 60's & 70's fuzz-tone/white-stripes crowds

Listening to these guys this week.
