Ilhan Omar and the rest of the "Squad" are Freshman Representatives and as such are each, one of the 435 duly elected people in the House of whom a majority is needed to enact anything and then a majority of 100 Senators need to agree and then The President needs to agree.

The only thing I see is that Trump has gotten all his minions to somehow believe she and the rest of the "Squad" are dangerous and scary, given the vast powers they possess.

He's doing the same lying BS as the birther stuff that propelled him to where he is today.
"Was it a birth certificate? You tell me. Some people say that was not his birth certificate. Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. I'm saying I don't know. Nobody knows."
“Well, there is a lot of talk about the fact that she was married to her brother. I know nothing about it.”

Why would Trump say it if he or nobody knows?

Yet Trump has yet to tell Bernie, an avowed socialist, to go back to where he came from. What could explain why he says that about Ocasio-Cortez, Pressley, Omar, and Tlaib but not Sanders? I just can’t put my finger on it.

Which is why I brought it up as rumor, because despite what you claimed, I don't believe everything that comes out of his mouth, especially when he's discussing people he doesn't like. He's a compulsive liar, obviously. Maybe remember that I said that, next time you claim that I instantly believe everything he says?

Maybe it's twisted to you. My dog would get it.

When a white person is mean to a black person, it doesn't mean he's racist.

If that's too fast for you, good luck.

Scummy

You did it now live with it.

Quick to call me scummy, when I ask what I said that was scummy, I hear crickets.

Omar said junk about Trump. Trump fires back junk at her. Is that unusual? Seems like a pattern.

He has said other junk about Bernie. The connection of going back to where he came from may be harder to stick on Bernie. When you hit, aim for the weak spot.

Why do you have to make it more complicated than it is? Oh, that's right, forgot, you have to work hard to label Trump stuff that he isn't.

he likes to call you names and then say he's thankful his parents didn't raise him to be someone who calls people names :rotf3: it's pretty funny

Trump told
the kneeling football players, some of who were white, that if they disliked the country, maybe they’d be happier someplace else. i don’t like that statement, but the point is, he said it in the past when it was directed at white people. This is not in dispute, it happened, and it means he is capable of saying it to people of all races, which necessarily means it’s not racist.

If she married her brother for an immigration scam, I'd like to know. If she didn't, no one should say she did."

What in there, exactly, is scummy? I thought you were the one liberal here better than that...

Jim,

I just got back from the gym so I didn't read this earlier. If I misunderstood your post (and it looks like I did from WDMSO's post) I apologize to you as it looks like you didn't bring the marrying the brother issue up. I'm sorry and should have read the posts.

As a self imposed penalty I will not visit this site until Monday morning and will ride my bike an additional 10 miles further than I was planning Sat. morning in the heat and humidity.

I apologize again.

Trump said “They never have anything good to say. That’s why I say, ‘Hey if you don’t like it, let ‘em leave, let ‘em leave.’”

Remember this is the man who said these things about America.

"This country is a hellhole, and we're going down fast."

“The American dream, is dead.”

“China, you go there now, roads, bridges, schools, you never saw anything like it,” he marveled. “I love China,” he went on. The U.S.A.? “We’re dying. We’re dying. ... We’ve got nothing.”

His strikingly dark inauguration speech about empty factories “like tombstones across the landscape,” urban decay, crime, gangs drugs, failed education — “this American carnage.”

You can praise dictators, like Trump does, and refuse to criticize Russian President Vladimir Putin for allegedly killing critics because, “Well, I think our country does plenty of killing also.”

Trump is who he's always been. The question is who Americans are.

About 40% of "us" seem to be exactly like him. The question is whether the remaining 60% can be bothered to defeat them at the ballot box.

Context, my boy, context. He has said many marvelously good things
about this country and negative things about China and Russia in different contexts.

Picking and choosing in order to slant, my boy, is a form of lying.

Perhaps then you should look at what Trump has picked and chosen to say about Ilhan Omar

The framing of his attacks on Omar often targeted her refugee status, religion and ethnicity, and reveal how much the president is willing to bend the truth to make it seem that Omar is an enemy of the United States.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...acks-factcheck

For now, on the right, we have the man with the biggest megaphone in the country leading a mob in chanting for the expulsion of a political opponent — a US citizen! — from the country. I reject most everything that Ilhan Omar stands for, but this is degrading, disgraceful behavior from an American president. This is Two-Minute Hate stuff.

Was it bigoted or racist when democrats in congress tried to have Trump aide Sebastian Gorka deported for political reasons?

Several Congressmen wrote to DOJ and DHS asking that they investigate news reports.

How is asking the appropriate authorities having jurisdiction to investigate comparable to lying about a sitting Congresswoman?

Have I ever said that Trump doesn't pick and choose, doesn't slant, doesn't ever lie? I've criticized you when you claim he does when he doesn't. I don't say anything when you are right. And I've said, and demonstrated, that you are guilty of what you accuse him of. A lot. You paint a hyper-distorted picture of him by lying over and over. You also do the same distortion about those who support him.

but this is degrading, disgraceful behavior from an American president. This is Two-Minute Hate stuff.

Again, just as you accuse Trump of degrading and disgraceful stuff, you do likewise. From one to several paragraphs of hate against Trump. And that you don't have as powerful a bully pulpit as he does doesn't mean that it's OK to hypocritically do what you criticize him of, constantly, over and over again.

I may be guilty of that. Point it out when I do. I could learn something and correct it.
