I've been wondering the same thought, where all 9 boats will go!

Raider Ronnie 09-23-2004 07:50 PM

Anyone up for the trip out Cashes ledge ;)
I've got the range with my boat ;)

macojoe 09-23-2004 07:51 PM

Eletric, Its the only way to go!!

My trailer is so scary!! The boat will fall right off if I am not careful!! I have the boat tounge crank as hi as it will go here in the yard, so that when it rains it will all just run out the back.
Well I like to losen the winch when it is sitting here in the yard just so that there is not a constant persure there on the bow hook.
Well I went out side one day and I saw the boat at the end of the safty chain!! It will roll right off if not for the chain!!
So I can launch in any water or none at all!

macojoe 09-23-2004 07:53 PM

I have never been there or even no were it is?/ But I think I have like 150 mile range with my boat, give or take a mile or so.

Vectorfisher 09-23-2004 07:54 PM

Yes we definately need to come up with a plan.

macojoe 09-23-2004 07:55 PM

80 miles east of Glouster, wow I have not got that kind of range!! I just looked it up

macojoe 09-23-2004 08:00 PM

Yes need a plan!!

But I have never fished this area so we will need to rely on those who no the area!!

Thats going to be TRO, Quick Dision, and Radier Ron. I belive these guys all fish that area.

Raider Ronnie 09-23-2004 08:13 PM

East of Stellwagen?
I'm not sure how far most are willing or able to go!

Raider Ronnie 09-23-2004 08:18 PM

I'll be out there this Sat.:btu: :btu:
Hopefully all the way to Wildcat!!!

RI Popper 09-23-2004 08:46 PM

as far as the dumping grounds sometimes it holds fish, sometimes it doesn't. I sure aint going 80 miles off shore. I'll do stellwagon at best. No need to go way out there that time of year. I'll stay in shore and find plenty of fish :) Never failed yet.

macojoe 09-23-2004 09:05 PM

I will agree we will not be going 80 miles!! But we will get fish and have a ball doing it!!

Notaro 09-24-2004 08:41 AM

Lets hope so. I hope that we can run into some wolfish and big haddocks. :D Perhaps a halibut

quick decision 09-24-2004 09:43 AM

where to go

I think we are asking for trouble if 9 or ten boats go out to wildcat. The chances of someone breaking down is high. Thats a long way back at 4 knots.

macojoe 09-24-2004 10:56 AM

I am with you Quick!!

What do you use for a set up?? Rod Reel # line color jigs??

Just trying to get these set up with a Idea??

Notaro 09-24-2004 11:02 AM

Or split up boats into two groups and each group search out for a spot and race agaisnt each other for the biggest cods?

macojoe 09-24-2004 11:05 AM

Well I am sure we will break apart.
But the Idea is go toghter and come toghter, this way we all have a good safe trip and no one is left alone or fish less.

Team Rock On 09-24-2004 11:09 AM

Race? How much?

macojoe 09-24-2004 11:11 AM

No Race with you!! I got the heads up on your boat! ;)

Notaro 09-24-2004 11:11 AM

:laughs: :laughs: good idea, MJ;)

Mercs ---Set the water on fire !!!!!

Vectorfisher 09-24-2004 04:14 PM

I hold 110 gallons of fuel and can cruise right around 9 gallons an hour, with 2 guys in boat. Have never had 5 people aboard so am not sure what gph would be with ice,fuel,5 people, and fishing gear, them jigs get pretty heavy:D I only fear the devil himself:af: so if I had the range to get to greenland and the condition allowed I would be off there if need be. Link if you prefer Plymouth we could go out together, not sure how far you have been.

macojoe 09-24-2004 04:32 PM

Problem is there is no fish in plymonth!!:af:

But do we get to the same places were the others are going?? As Plymouth is much closer to me as far as trailering. And how far is it to meet up with the others?? as I have 65 Gal gas I think like a 150 mile range I will say 125 to be safe!!

Striper1 09-24-2004 04:37 PM

Like any trip the weather will tell how far east we go.......

But you don't have to go far to get cod.

team striper1 will be Swede,canalratt1 and Me.

Race there are cod at the race????:laughs: :laughs:

see you all at the flemish cap  :laughs:

We should pick a VHF CH. to work on??

Flemish Cap??? maybe you can try some Vics Formula 44 or anything with a decongestant!:smash: :smash: We can try out near the B bouy to start but anyway I'll be going out befor the trip and I'll have some spots scoped out for us. Ask the guys who went last time. I kept putting people on fish. then I wouldnt' get any LOL:smash: :smash:

BigBo 09-24-2004 08:09 PM

Last time macojoe and I hooked up with Swede and Striper1, they had to go out to the Flemish Cap to avoid all the dogfish. Swede was the dogfish king that day!:laughs:

Swede 09-24-2004 08:20 PM

Hi BigBo! I'm gonna break out the Dogfish proof rigs this time :laughs: We are bringing 3 100 gal fuel bladders in case we end up at the Canyons :D
