Don't count me out so fast! Mercury is shipping new powerhead, 3-4 days for shipping, 2 days for install. I'd say I'm 50-50 right now due to "marine service time". Cristian is OUT due to ACT testing on Sat.

I got out with my 2 sons for a while and some inshore exploring of cod.
Not 1 cod but LOTS of dogfish, all on jigs :af:

Most had broken noses!!!:laughs:
1 took all 3 hooks way inside it's mouth so I had to cut it's head off, so I left the head on the jig and dropped it back down, and sure enough I was getting hits on it!:laughs:

I am reading this thread too late! I'd like to join in if possible??? I have a 23' SeaCraft center console with a T-Top and curtains. I would be comfortable taking two passengers with me.

I am trailering from Yarmouth also, MacoJoe, maybe we can convoy it up there on the 23rd????

I have very limited cod gear, mostly converted bass rods. If someone has some gear for the boat it would be a help....

Ok I am just getting home from a Camping trip. Just got here right now and this is right were i came!! :laughs:

After I get finished getting things toghter I will read what we have here!!

what size jigs will we be expecting to use on this trip? i have many different sizes, but i want to be sure i have enough on hand! last time out, we used mostly 17 ounce or so.

I would say 17oz will be fine, but I am bringing a few 20's just incase

If you can hold bottom in 200-300 ft water with 16-17 ounce jigs it's a good day!!!
It all depends on the wind , current, act...
Some days I need to use 35 ounce jigs to hold bottom :(

yes, i remember that. it was one of my favorite dish, but not all of the restaurant can prepare it well, MJ. i like legal seafood cod stixs and fried fish...

I 'd like to know where we're launching---- Ply. Ma.--- high tide 8:05 am I know I'll be out all day. My son Matt( link jr) cant go so I'm bringing my brother in law back from IRAQ---- I have room for one more PM me and we will work things out.
I have some local spots around that area wrecks etc.. from plymouth to farnham rock ,even jig for some late season STRIPERS on the west side of farnham? on the way in

We are launching in Green Harbor correct? I like that ramp. Easy in....easy out.....and short trip to the Ocean.

I will be launching from Plymouth ramp @ sun up , later, linksr.:cool:

Ok As I am the one who started this I will be the one to mention that we all decided to go out of Weymouth!!

Now we have 3 different places people want to go out of!! We decided Weymouth as there are a few boats moored there.

Now as we are doing this as a group and we have all agreed to meet in Weymouth I think thats were we all should meet!!

Those of you want to launch from else were go ahead but the group as a whole will be going out of Weymouth!

So now I need to no who is going to be there and what time should we all meet??

Scituate Tide is at 7:55 am on the 23rd I am not sure were the tide is in weymouth??
Someone from that area please chine in!! I say we meet at least 1 hour before sun up.

So I will plan to pick up my passengers at some location close by , as the parking at "Sea Monkey Marina" is very limited.
