I am down to 183 from 198 slow and sure, I have been sick for the last two week I am going to get back to the gym Monday |
lots of dark beers, jack and cokes, and other recreational activities that led to late night raids on the dollar menu at McDonald's. fortunately i've cut out all those bad habits from my diet :)
i almost forgot, good job Bob :kewl: |

I'm down 3 belt loops that tells me I'm just transfering weight to other area's that will help me to loose more as I go along.I go thru the gym pretty fast.My routine only takes 45 mins then I top it off on the treadmill and I ride the bike on off days. March 22 my girlfriend and I are quiting smoking.. Sounds like a mid life thing don't it.I'm just trying to make 47 my midlife.. |
thats awesome NIB. changing up definitely works. shocks your muscles pretty good. next week i'll be changing my routine back to strength training. i'll do a push/pull system, all pyramid sets. you probably already know this but for those that don't, pyramid sets are basically when you start out at 10 reps, then go down to 8 reps but add weight and so on until you get to 4 reps. then you go back to 10 reps and start with the original weight. really gets you ripped. one day ill do chest and triceps, the next day biceps, abs, and legs. then i'll rest one day. but ill still keep up with the cardio.
good luck quitting smoking man, i know how tough that can be. hope to see you up this way some time this season... |
i think we need to update the % lost
|
Latest Updates are in place in Red.....Looks like the pace is slowing down time to re-focus, myself included. 2 months left....time to "git 'er done"

I can't wait to see if we get a genuine NIB plug thrown into the pot. That will help me work extra hard for sure. I know JohnR has some goodies in his stash too... |
I'll try and update tonight
|
:rotf2:Let me be the first to say......"Damn I'm starting to look good ! " :uhuh::humpty::uhuh:
|
I've lost 10 maybe 12 lbs. .. eating light and doing (sweat like a pig) cardio at least 5 times a week for 30 min. ,,plus yoga twice a week .. I feel really good .. balance is 100 % better.. just thought I would have lost more weight ..

sounds like your doing good too...:uhuh: |
Cigs are tuff to kick .I did about 3 yrs back.Smoked for more than half my life.Less bronchitis/sinus infections .I quit because I was wasting too much $$ on the damn things.I couldn't see paying the high price for them.If you add up the price of 2 packs a day for a year you easily got a new VS,waders, plugs and gas money with some left over for food on the way !
|
2 x 6 dollars a pack = 12 x 30 days per month = 360 x 12 months a year = 4320 dollars a year..I do at least 2 packs a day, more when I fish.I started taking the drug Chantrix last sat this sat. is my quitting date.So far with my will power I am almost down to a pack a day.
Saturday is gonna be something.... :hidin: |
