I like it, having fun! I wish Dr. Phil was on but I can watch some of the 1,200 hours I have on tape later.:laugha: Right now....lookin' for a new boat!:smash:

Fly Rod 02-15-2004 09:13 PM

I owned a 20' lund for 5-6 years . Excellent boats. Gone 15-20 miles out to sea not up and down the coast. Always trailered it. Never had a pit in the hull. The boat served me well. Rivets never loose. They are a wet boat. Wave spray comes over the gunnels.

What you have to look out for when buying an aluminum boat is when and if they are bottom painted. some paints eat them out. Be leary of any aluminum boat kept at a dock or mooring electrolysis will do a job on them.
Also when ever you haul an aluminum boat out for storage take the battery out.

BigFish 02-15-2004 09:15 PM

And when you are tryin' to sell one, maybe not list it too many times in the wrong place in the same place....might tip people off something is wrong with it.

macojoe 02-15-2004 09:29 PM

Yea thats a good boat for ML !! At least he won't have to worry about messing up them gel coat!! :laughs:

HEY BIG FISH- WHY DON'T YOU COME OVER TOO WHITMAN AND BUY MY BOAT. INSTEAD OF "WISHING" YOU COULD DO SOME REAL "FISHING". I HAVE TAKEN #80 - #140LB BLUE FIN ON THIS BOAT. CYA

macojoe 02-15-2004 09:45 PM

BigFish 02-15-2004 09:47 PM

Just having some fun with you dude.....however I do my "real fishing" from the sand. The day I land my trophy striper I want it to count.:laugha: Easy DMM2784 just kidding (all you other boat guys too) Hey DMM2784 do you know my brother??? His name is DMM2786?:laugha: (Again...having some fun)

Fly Rod 02-15-2004 09:49 PM

Just because you see a boat in the for sale on the internet does not mean that it is still for sale.
Mine has been for sale for two years I sold it the first year. But won't take it out of the site. Some sites try to suck you in with there salesmanship, so screw em!!!:p :smash:

tlapinski 02-16-2004 08:31 AM

boat fish don't count!

likwid 02-16-2004 03:56 PM

only 80-140?

i took a 215lb bluefin on a SAILBOAT!
:D

RIROCKHOUND 02-16-2004 04:08 PM

Toby all fish count.. as long as you didnt dynamite or shoot them.. boat sand whatever... fish are fish are fish...
Besides we all know that spring river fish dont count:D

And DMM, relax, you dont need to post your fishing resume; I dont care if you nantucket sleighrided giants in your boats...
I've done plenty of offshore, and to me, real fishing is whatever takes skill to do, on the right light tackle a 35lb striper is harder to land than an 80-140lb BFT winched in on 80's (yes I've done both)
Why dont you contribute and not get so defensive all the time, tell us about your BFT fishing from your boat etc... this is a friendly place, Bigfish is giving you a bit of ribbing, thats it, chill out....

BigFish 02-16-2004 04:27 PM

Come on board DMM2784 and have some fun with us. RRH is right, just some light hearted ribbing is all. I apologize if I went overboard.:smash: No pun intended.:laugha: I do wish you luck selling your boat though.:kewl:

chris L 02-16-2004 04:57 PM

whats a boat fish ? is that one of those propellar lures ? I have a propellar hat .

tlapinski 02-16-2004 05:05 PM

Chris, you are thinking of a helicopter lure. that is the go-to-plug of a boat fisherman!

RIROCKHOUND 02-16-2004 05:07 PM

I use fish decoys..
I have a female striped bass mount, it has make up and a dress on, looks like daisy bunny (bugs bunny's B-Day)
The male stripers, and the largest lesbian stripers swim right up to it, I reach over the side of my boat and grab em..
Do they count?

I got no problem with it BF, I actually enjoy it. You need a sense of humor, it helps the winter pass faster.
