biggest fish so far

So whats everyone's biggest bass this season??
I'm still trying to break 20 pounds with my biggest being 18lbs caught on a beachmaster darter... I've had quite a few in the low to mid teens but no monsters yet...I figure when I get back from my trip things will change for the better:D:

how about everyone else??

Moses 06-02-2004 03:37 PM

Like you, trying to break 20lbs.....

Unfortunately I have picked my fishing days/nights/times unwisely so far. Seems I'm always a tide off. Hopefully things will change for the better towards weekend and next week.

Big Fish...err alleged Big fish...Not only does Notaro's fish count...you cleverly did not answer the thread

for the record...my answer is 35.5 inches & 17 pounds form Shore
40 inches & 22 pounds from Boat

cheferson 06-02-2004 10:01 PM

16lbs for myself, friend caught his first bass which was 19lbs , tonight a guy from work got a 21lber in newport.

Got Stripers 06-02-2004 10:08 PM

Ironically my biggest fish this calender year came down at the Thames and was around 20 lbs. To date locally my time out has been limited, but even with hundreds of fresh fish, I've yet to hit a big one. That should change, as I've actually been targetting numbers over size, yeah I'm sick, but I dig light tackle and when you add a heavy current them 25" fish feel like monsters on light gear. I'm ready to live line some macks and ply some spots to look for some weight now thou.

Have not even fished yet!! :smash:

I got a new Job for the state and have been real busy with that and repowered my buddys boat then had to work on mine.

But I am ready and I am going for the first time this Friday!!

Peter Lajoie 06-03-2004 12:57 AM

27 pounds from me but it doesnt count because it is from a boat.

Shore is 19 pounds, on a popper.

Crafty Angler 06-03-2004 03:49 AM

17 lbs on 10 # test with a pogie Storm Shad - but with the full moon and a W-SW wind tonite, I'm gonna work on upping my tally at my favorite spot with Uncle Zeke and a dozen snakes. THe macks and squid have blown town. :(

I also got a trip on my friend's boat slated for this week, but it doesn't matter what I get by cheating that way :laughs:
