If you were limited to 1 rod?
OK...Here is the scenario....you fish beaches, jetties and rocky shoreline.....you like to throw poppers, swimmers and rubber in 1-3 oz...you are limited to 1 rod.....What rod would you choose?
|
I got a 9.5 ft Lami glass that has treated me real well. It's versitale (2 piece) can handle a decent fish but not so stiff all action is removed.

i love these types of threads. you get to see who likes what and the more popular rods. of course, there are so many variables not listed that truely recommending one rod is really hard.
personally, if i had to have 1 rod as the title was, it would be lami gsb1201m spin; second rod gsb1201m cast. now, if i was to go w/ the lure range mentioned in the subject for the purposes listed, i may do the above blank as a spinner again, or the sb1213m as a caster. the second you mentioned jetties/inlets, you take several of the listed rods out of the equation. if it was a sand beach w/ bars or holes or a rockpile where there was not heavy water movement, some of those listed may come into play again. all star does not make blanks anymore, so if you find any they were/are from when they were available. rainshadows 'su' series is about their equivalent. |

Allstar 1265
I fyou said 2 to 5 and had to be used everywhere from shore , like the canal , rivers, beaches , I'd say XRA 1205 |
A lamiglas 1084 with a VS200G
|
BESIDES A LAMI 1084 I WOULD HAVE TO SAY A ROGUE 905 PAIRED WITH A VS 200
|
XRA 1204 This is truly a do-all rod.Throws bombers, eels, pencils, jigs. It would be a stretch to turn large around rocks but for 98% of your fishing ...:kewl:

Tough decision, but a GSB120L for me.
|
All Star 1088 lightweight, can throw the selected range all day and then some. I'm used to fishing with meatsticks and it took me a bit to gain the conf. in this rod but its got the nuts to do the job.
