Surf Asylum rubber... A good Omen?

Picked some up ath the show. On the way home, I had to stop by the grocery store. When I actually made it home I was gathering all my bags. When I grabed the bag with the rubber in it I was wicked creeped out. I through the bag down. At first glance it looked like a bag of eels... My wife did the same thing when she was unpacking the groceries. These might just be quite a fine lure.

Yeah, Vic threatened to punch out my knee caps if I don't make black for him soon.

hooked 03-27-2006 04:32 PM

I rigged up the purplish one with a Point Jude wobble head and a shot of lead in the tail. Unbelievable, swims like a snake and with a little twitch it comes alive. I need black too.

Gonna soak the pink one in that seabait goop and wait for the full moon. :humpty:

I was lucky to see one at Pt. Judes booth they were gone before I could get over to your booth. congrats on your success

shadow 03-27-2006 06:04 PM

let me tell you I tried those eels out as well as some of the other plugs.First I have to say the rubber is so easy to rig, they cast much better then slug gos,the action is better, and you can work the rod much slower then when you fish a slug-go.I was very pleased.that pencil rocks too!

Canalman 03-27-2006 10:26 PM

Glad to hear it.... now we just need some fish!

cheferson 04-26-2006 08:23 PM

Well the fish are here and they love your rubber!! :lasso: Ive been doing well the last couple weeks with them on a 3/4 ounce jig head. I only had the large ones, so i bit them back to about 8-9 inches. Tonight as soon as it hit the water i had a fish on!! Good work guys!! :claps: So where can i find some 9" real eels??

Clogston29 04-27-2006 05:41 AM

I still haven't seen a fish longer than the reel eel up hear yet, well ok maybe an inch or two longer. I did have one follow it while playing with some weight configurations the other day though. I don't know what he was planning on doing with it. Maybe alittle :humpty:
