The best fried seafood
 

Who's got the best freid plate in your area?? It would be nice to have a list in the vehical at all times for when we're fishin outa town.
In my area its Gene's famous seafood.,, All their food is good especialy the clam plate, mmmmmm them salty bellies nice portions too. All the tables are natical charts of boston down to newport (I get picky about which table I get :D) Gene's is in Fairhaven ma on rt6

Haddad's in Brant Rock...great fried plate ...comes with fried lobstah!!! :humpty:

PJ's Rt. 6 Wellfleet. Great Clam Plates, fish&chips, fried scallops, at both... get the onion rings and chowder at PJ's too :drool:

I havent been there in awhile, but Sandy's in Bourne used to have fantastic fried clams. (Havent been in awhile)

and Gene's in Fairhaven for clam cakes...

newport's got Flo's clamshack and very close to saltwater edge is anthony's seafood.

Over my way in narragansett we have georges and champlins seafood. both are about 50 feet from gallilee channel. (RI's mini capecod canal)

Heading towards P-town, right side just after Cumby's, and before the turn for one of the Hollows.
the Reeve's family has owned it for over 30 years...lotsa love in that food, they work real hard at it.

Lindsey's in East Wareham would be my #1 choice in the Canal area. I think Sandy's has slipped a bit in quality.

Of course, if you like your clams REALLY deep fried there's always Penner's :devil2: :devil:

Tony's in Wollaston is pretty good.

I second Haddad's. And the Chowder House In Weymouth. Fisherman's platter is enough for two people.

Yeah to Lindsey`s....nice service, nice people, clean fryers and oil... good fried food ...... Penner`s is a little drafty and smoky. :usd:

East Wind is half decent to Ditch but simpler arrangement then Lindsey`s.

Evelyn's in Tiverton, Flo's in Island Park. I second Anthony's Seafood in Middletown.

Clam Shack in Kennebunkport, ME!!! Best in New England!!! I'm also one of the cooks there so it's even better!!!

You got about an hour to get here:

Oh yeah, you always know where those clams are by looking for those slightly darker bumps.

There are many people that go to Iggys in Rhody, only if they knew how to make them like Gene's, that is with clams, the waiting lines would be much longer.

Eastons Point (around the corner from Flo's) and Giro's in Peacedale have the best clams I've had in this state......

I love that place. The clam cakes are the best ever.

Easton's Point is very good. No one seems to know about it though. Good word of mouth following, but that's about it. They need to change their advertising or something.

McMenamys on Route 123 in Brockton by the VA hospital has pretty good seafood. I really like the seafood chowder. It's a nice place. If I'm down the canal, I like east wind(and I always check out the pet blue lobster).i

Don't forget the fried clams at the Red Wing diner on route 1 in Walpole. I really think they are the best.

Get me some fresh quality scallops and I will make scallops in cream sauce to die for.

Some fresh big fat fluke manipulated and deep fried with garlic corn bread along...........................:drool:

Don`t forget a simple salad..... and a tall glass of sun tea with fresh lemon :drool:

Lindsey's is amazing in Wareham.
Wood's Seafood in Plymouth right by the docks is great.I think the Lobster Bisque is like $2.50 a cup.
Seafood Sam by the East end of the Canal in Sandwich is terrific.
Cooke's Seafood in Mashpee rocks.
None of these places will kill your wallet either.

Larry's Clam Bar on route 125 in Plaistow NH. Been going there since I was......well not old enough to see over the counter. Fried seafood platter is awesome and the onion rings are the best in the world.

Mike P is a Wise Wise Man....Lindsey's may be the best both sit inside and takeout fried seafood in MA. the Lobster Bisque will bolw your damn mind and absolutely ruin each and every trip to M& D's because of the craqving to stop.


In Hull for sit down you go to Jakes first and for take out Nantasket Seafood (yes, the sub shop) will hook a brudda up with a HHHUUUUGGE $16 fishermans platter.
