A warning for boaters for this coming Friday around Beavertail
 
100th Anniversary of the Newport Bermuda race.
There will be ALOT of boats.

Start time is around noon.

Stay the hell away, its gonna be a zoo.

And no, you don't have the right of way.

i got passed bye a big tri-hull one day in the grady. thought i was hauling at 28-30 knots and he "blew" right bye me:wall:

nothing compares to the start of the B.O.C. race back in 87 or 88.. yowzas there was alot of boats. ALso i can remember the tall ships before that. it was insane...

but in light air you got good toona trolling speeds.

and those cables (PBO/Carbon/Kevlar) keep that 140 some odd foot rig from falling into the ocean

Those boats in this race?

Maximus was doing over 15 knots just after the start.

One of the VOR boats broke 40 knots in the southern ocean.
