Ted Nugent on Deer Hunting
Ted Nugent, the famous rock star and world class hunter, was being interviewed about his deer hunting by a touchy-feely French journalist.
The journalist asked, "What do you think is the last thought in the head of deer before you shoot him? Is it, "Are you my friend?" or is it "Are you the one who killed my brother?'" Nugent replied, "Deer aren't capable of that kind of thinking. All they care about is, "What am I going to eat next, who am I going to screw next, and can I run fast enough to get away. They are very much like the French." |
the guy is a nut.........gotta like him :nailem: :liquify:

In the interest of accurate reporting, a Brit was also slammed, according to snopes:
he did make the comment in a May 2006 interview conducted by a British journalist Robert Chalmers: "What do these deer think when they see you coming?" I ask him. "Here comes the nice guy who puts out our dinner? Or, there's the man that shot my brother?" "I don't think they're capable of either of those thoughts, you Limey %$%$%$%$%$%$%$. They're only interested in three things: the best place to eat, having sex and how quickly they can run away. Much like the French." ***I'm just reporting this, I'll try to keep my personal thoughts out of this..... :jump: :jump: :rotfl: :rotfl: Well, I'll try harder next time.:bl: |

Ted Nugent is a true American
and it's about time someone told the french where to get off....!!
so thankyou Ted Nugent for telling it exactly how it is...... :btu: EXCELLENT !! |
The Nug should probably stick to shooting caricatures of Saddam on stage instead of speaking.
I love his 'sunrize' hunting farm BS. Lets go drive down this pasture and park right next to the hand fed Buffalo and shoot it! Mighty sporting. What an effing joke. |
:claps: Ted is as usual spot on!

Animals from stockyards are used with amazing effeciency. There is very little waste. Can't say the same about a farmed shoot. It's all about vanity and nothing more. -spence |

Force an argument? Hell, I didn't even know I was disagreeing with you. :laughs: |
Ted Nugent is great. He gets in the face of the PC crowd who think their chicken falls out of the sky wrapped in a plastic container with the word "Perdue" on it.:ss:
|
the worst thing he did was get a tv show that brings his choice of life out to the main stream for ridicule . but give him credit for saying it as it is . cause I know when a deer sees me he isnt thinking fasion .
he could stab a buffalo in a box in the eye for all I care . |
Did anyone else see the ted nugent reality show they had on VH1? It was called surviing nugent i think they cancelled it before the first season was over. A handful of people had to live with Ted and his family. They had this one girl that was not only a vegetarian, but also vegan......she flipped out at the dinner table three weeks into the show. :bl:

Sorry but stockyards are far from what I would call humane. Also far from what I would call a "better product". I could be wrong here but I doubt but your comment that you have seen first hand how these animals live....AND DIE....it aint pretty. Do I think that preserve hunting is the best kind? hell no! but I do think that it beats the hell out of the mass produced meat you buy in the store loaded with growth hormones and god knows what else. Lets not even get into the "how" and "why" diseases spread in in the stockyards. |

The way Ted hunts is oh so much more humane than the slaughterhouse, regardless of what two guys here(guess which two)think. You two ever been to a cattle processing plant?I have and let me tell you these animals KNOW when its their time. How many humans do you know that want to know its their day?.None. Your last ribeye was processed in an environment that might not always be safe, yes even meat bought through Wholefoods could be unsafe. If you two guys are so worried about how Ted hunts think about how you fish. You just hooked a fish in its feeding apparatus, dragged it all the way to the shore but............its 27".Can you guarantee that if you let it go that it'll live?Of course not,and "maybe it might live" don't count. You two guys might want to checkout: www.peta.com www.fishinghurts.com TED FOR PRESIDENT(Or at least Sec.of the Interior)!!! Sorry you two cuz I really like you guys but you do this to yourselves. How can you possibly fish and go to grocery store to buy meat and at the same time call Nugent a joke? Its hypocritical at the least. |

Besides, I said "more" humane. And Wipe, last time I checked bass aren't cattle. -spence |
Ahhhh the French........
|
the ants in france stay mainly on the plants
|
the nuge is the best.
anybody seen the charlie moore episode where he pulls out a pistol and just starts shooting. its awsome. i love blasting wango tango in the car with my girlfriend. |
Go Teddy go! He can do whatever he wants on his property/ranch within the laws, that is the great thing about living in this grand ole USA. Buy some land next too him if you got the cash and stock it with all the buffalo you want. Keep em as pets and take pictures next to them and give them all cute little names but don't critisize Ted for shooting what is his legally.

You know what would be awesome?
Scaring some of these guides up trees with dogs then shooting them out of the trees. Atleast the screams would be more satisfying than a groan and a thud from a bear. |

Dogs and horses ain't cattle but there are entire cultures that eat them. Most Americans look down upon this, but to the people eating these animals to them its food. In India hindus worship the cow.Your freerange organic Wholefoods cow is still a cow to them and they would be HORRIFIED that you killed it for food regardless of how you killed it.Certain cultures in that same country also worship the rat and yet thousands of others eat them. Once again its all PERCEPTION. You guys can read and believe all the anti-hunting propaganda that's ever been written/said against Nugent. The FACT is that he kills ALL animals humanely and as a single human being done more to preserve the environment and save animals. That's the simple truth.Except it. Time to eat.Semi-boneless ribeyes are going on the grill. EAT ANIMALS.THEY TASTE GOOD!!! |
Quote:
But chumming is cool huh? Why don't we throw you in the water, put a squash on a hook and then hook ya as you go for the bait. Pathetic. You can actually go fishing but have such disdain and venom for hunters, especially humane ones like Nugent. How do you live with yourself each and everytime you HOOK a fish? You might as well join PETA. |
“I don't partake in assembly-line convenience. I don't say that killing things is bad while I hire people to kill things for me.”
Ted Nugent |
killing to eat
only humans pecieve themselves to be
of such a superior nature ie .....the top of the food chain.... that cutting the head off a plant to them isn't killing...it's simply harvesting....there isnt a difference. you have to kill something to eat... |

god forbid the rest of us shoot and kill an animal and consume and use everything it yeilds.I wanna know if our two colleagues use every single portion of the animals(bass)they kill?Well do you?And I mean every single portion. Do you?If you do then how dare you judge the rest of us.
Judge me goddammit,I don't think so. Btw the semiboneless ribeye was delicious!!! |

I'm not anti-hunting nor do I dislike Ted Nugent, but to assert that "canned hunts" are on equal footing with real wild hunting or wild fishing is simply absurd. Imagine a canned hunt with Holsteins instead of game. Think that would go over well? -spence |
