If I could only use one needlefish color for all applications (night/day) it would have to be lime green. Who would have thought that the color which has probably produced more big bass than any other would be considered a "funky color" in this poll. Signs of the times I guess.

tattoobob 01-24-2007 05:43 PM

Limegreen/White

I don't think I've ever even seen a solid lime green needle.

I voted for white.

Actually I had intended including a variety of other colors including the likes of pink, copper, lime green, but honestly had a mind blank while I was typing so I have to take what I can get ... :jester:

Ive always found this site to be interesting. Speaks about the most visible colors at different depths. What colors dissappear first. etc.

Check out the table half way down in yellow:

"With long viewing distances fluorescent green and yellow-green are excellent. "

Yes - all are docs. Only the bottom one floats... and dives about 6 inches down on retrieve. Nice plug.

Here is another interesting site talking about visible light underwater. With what colors dissappear at what depths.

Hi Karl

Surfpirate 01-26-2007 09:26 AM

Eel is my go to color day or night

Flaptail 01-26-2007 10:39 AM

Last year it was white for me with black a close second but white caught more than any other color, full moon or new, it didn't matter.

Each year it's something different, who knows what color will be "hot" for me this year and who knows if it will be a needlefish?

That's what makes it great.
