New Addition to BigFish Bait Co.!

I worked quite a bit on this plug last season...making changes as needed in regards to weight and the profile....fished several different prototypes......come Fall I had it down and it had several 100 fish days during the run! They would not leave it alone!

I got the name from a fellow sight member! I actually pm'd him to see if he would mind if I used the name......I did not want to step on his toes and felt it was the right thing to do! He gave me the go ahead and I sent him the first one which he recieved yesterday! I think he liked it!

The plug is 5 inches long and weighs in at 2 ounces! It is a "spook type" plug....you fish it the same as a "spook type" plug!

Anyone want to see it?:eyes:

Larry those things are sweet. Spook type plugs are my favorite by far! I will be picking a few of those up for the spring. Between you and Bernzy's Howdys... my bag will be full!!

Slingah 03-07-2007 03:30 PM

I fished these last year....Larry put alot into tweaking them so they swim great.....I love the new colors BigGuy.....fish catchers for sure...

BigFish 03-07-2007 03:38 PM

Wait until you see the real thing....Larry sent me one that I got last night....absolutely top notch. The painting and finish is really well done, strong hardware, great craftsmanship.....the works. I was really impressed. Can't wait to fish it.

I'm totally honored by the name....thanks Larry. :btu:

Where else can an intermediate surf fisherman have a line of plugs named after him? Only in America!!! :wiggle:

BigFish 03-07-2007 04:27 PM

Thank you Korey! When the fishies come, we are gonna fish the heck out of these at a few spots I know! :kewl: Can't wait to meet you! Any topwater fanatic is a friend of mine!

Slipknot 03-07-2007 07:48 PM

Nice Larry, ya your airbrushing is very good.
It's nice you bow to Bernzy also, he deserves lots of credit for popularizing the Howdy that so many emulate.

BigFish 03-07-2007 08:27 PM

I believe in giving props Bruce! :claps:

This plug is a "spook" to be sure but very different from the great Howdy!;)

Finaddict 03-07-2007 09:56 PM

Larry - Please take these photos down, ASAP, they're killing me ... again nice plugs. :kewl:

BigFish 03-07-2007 10:30 PM

Raven 03-07-2007 10:34 PM

hey um ..... whats the length and weight on them blitz seekers?

BigFish 03-07-2007 10:37 PM

Raven...5 inches and 2 ounces!;)

Raven 03-07-2007 10:48 PM

thanks Larry...

sweet ....and how do you recommend a fisherman fish them...

any particular technique you wanna share.... since you've obviously put allot of time into field testing them..... enlighten us.

BigFish 03-07-2007 10:58 PM

Retrieve speed as the fish like it....fast, moderate or slow, and a gentle up and down motion with the rod tip! They walk quite easily!

I always begin with a slow retrieve......no takes after a few casts....a bit quicker, maybe pause occasionally!

Bernzy 03-09-2007 02:56 PM

Nice plug, really nice paint!
Thanks for the props:cheers:
Now send me one :rollem::jester:  :rotf3:

Bernzy

BigFish 03-09-2007 05:08 PM

Bernzy.....please pm me your address! I would love to send you one....it would be my pleasure! Always a fan of your work Bernzy!:uhuh:

Raven 03-13-2007 11:51 AM

bernzy?

:jump:

ProfessorM 03-13-2007 12:28 PM

Looks good L.

DM66 03-15-2007 01:58 PM

How do they perform differently from the Howdy's?

BigFish 03-15-2007 02:34 PM

They are chin weighted....keeps the nose more in the water when you retrieve with less of a return to upright position when you stop or pause the retrieve....its just the way I like it! Very effective!

jim sylvester 03-15-2007 02:44 PM

larry,
anything else available online besides pencils.........not heading to msba but interested in a couple of plugs..

let me know

thanks

jim
