Favorite Fall Plug

What is everyones favorite plug to slay with in the fall? How do you change the way you fish, if at all?

My favorite fall plug has to be a Bomber, but I am in love with the Mag. Crystal Minnows lately.

Gags 2.5-30z Bunker Pencil , That guy makes some great plugs

EricM 09-11-2007 02:58 AM

Very satisfying to slay with an old atom 1.25oz white popper or CCB red-eye, delivers a strong ratio of plug price to poundage.

luds 09-11-2007 03:18 AM

I can't pick one. I love throw needles in the fall but I've been throwing them all summer.

I'm looking forward to using these this fall

Always did well with the Yozuri Crystal minnows.

also a good time for the 4" storm shads, Smack-its and a good ole' Gibbs Bottle Plug.

Pt. Judes and Charlie Graves tins shine this time of year.

Chefskeez6 09-11-2007 09:29 AM

Favorite fall time lure - 6 or 7.5 inch pink Slug-Go (fish light tackle so with a little inserted weight I can still fling it out there).

Favorite Spring time lure - 6 or 7 inch pink Slug-Go (fish light tackle so with a little inserted weight I can still fling it out there).

Favorite Summertime lure - 6 or 7 inch pink Slug-Go (fish light tackle so with a little inserted weight I can still fling it out there).

I try to experiment and switch to black everyonce and a while but I always end up back with pink - especially at night. I'm sure if I stuck with other lures long enough I might find another favorite but I can't get away from the Slug-Go

I can't wait to try the new squid color.

Has to be Anchor Man

Finaddict 09-11-2007 08:36 PM

First and foremost it's pencils and I love many of them made by the guys here ... in the Fall I like to go bigger the better - AH, Habs and Salty are all great for different reasons and uses. Bigger the better.

Big Fish also makes great pencils, only used the smaller versions, but very productive, especially with light tackle.

You cannot go wrong with any of the above.

Vogt 09-12-2007 07:14 AM

Luds, Thats It!! It came to me last night at about 1AM.

In the fall the deadliest for biggies in the dark is the rigged eel (not a plug??) . Most fun is poppers in the day light. Easiest is the 2 OZ bucktail jig.

emgred 09-12-2007 01:15 PM

7" Tsunami Shad or 9" Tsunami Shad if I have enough current/rip to swim that bad boy.

This is my first season using Sluggos, so I'm looking forward to giving them a workout this fall.

And, of course, BUCKTAILS!!!:jump:

Flaptail 09-12-2007 01:48 PM

changes from year to year, never saw it stay really consistent.
