let's see how good you guys are at eyeballing a fish. |
44 pounds 8 ounces?:kewl: Nice fish!
33.4 :kewl:LBS
Not knowing how tall you are I would still say close to a 50
One of you guys is pretty close.
Nice fish Paul.
Lots of reports of large NEW fish heading into RI waters soon. This is good news for those anglers targeting the big girls. Happy Independence Day, especially to those who served. |
Thanks Chris. I also appreciate the good wishes for us old Vets.

Nice fish Paul!

Nice fish...48.25
45.75
Beautiful fish paul.
OK, times up.
I am just a skosh under 5' 10". I weigh 202. The fish weighed, on 3 different scales, one cerified, all digital. 31 and 1/2 pounds. It takes a really BIG fish to make 40. It was a nice fish and a great fight but 31lbs 6 oz is the weight. |
BTW, thanks for all the guesses and congrats. I thought this would be a fun and informative thread.
35 lbs..
With that belly I would have guessed a lot more, 40# anyway. Still, a wicked nice fish.
43 lb nice fish!
Very nice..........looks like she's been chowing down hard. What's that belly stuffed with?
It is a great fish Piemma! Good for you.

nice fish |
Nice fatty Paul.:btu:

Very nice fish! From the profile, I would have guessed an honest 40. Your post goes to show that without weighing their fish, a lot of guys are proably a bit off when claiming they take 30 and 40# fish.

Nice one Paul, I would have guessed in the 40's. |
Great Catch Paul!

Low 40s? I would have guessed 29 to 32 pounds. how many really big fish have any of you acually seen? there is a huge difference between a 40lb bass and a 31lb bass. But congrats, nice fish but not close to a 40 !
yup, nice 1
Well dave, not everyone is an expert who has caught and seen many large bass, and only a few were even aware of the size of Piemma. If it had been Flaptail holding that fish , and the angle was better with the fish displayed to show the girth, I would have gotten it within a pound or 2 I bet. But you got to see it in 3 dimensions, HUGE difference there seeing it in person. Hard to tell how long the fish is from that shot. A picture on the computer is completely different than in person and I think you know that. Maybe that was Paul's point of the thread.

either way that is a nice fish!! congrats man!
yeah, it's hard to tell from pictures, although I seem to be decent at eyballing fish caught on TV! :rotfl: |
Nice fish Paul
I would have guessed 40 but since I saw you post on another site that it was in the 30s,,,,I knew better!
Awesome fish and informative post, almost everyone added over ten pounds to the fish! |
