Hope you feel better Dave!

I was going to whine about it, cause I figured everyplace down there was sunny and 60. It's snowing here in Vermont and if it snows a little harder it will start sticking. The technical term for this would be "Sugar snow" since it's maple syrup makin time.

We had some ice/hail for a few minutes.. Pretty weird weather ! |
I take it you forgot about the 28" of snow we got about a decade back on April 1st. I'll be in Jamaica a week from today so let it snow I don't care I can handle it.
|
I'll never forget it, it was 1997 my son was 2 weeks old.
We were living on Wareham St. in Middleboro. A white pine fell onto the roof, partially through, above the kids room where Paulette was feeding the him. I unfortunately do not have pictures or they are in a box somewhere to be uncovered by an archeologist several thousand years from now. I also remember 18" of snow in 1983 my first year in Boston waiting what seemed like hours for the No. 73 Waverly to show up so I could finally end my 3 hour journey from Boston to Belmint via Mass Transit |

it's spring
but it's not spring until ...... the low stays above 32 21 here :hs: |
On May 7th 1975 or 76 we got 10" of snow in NW RI. I will never forget tulips in bloom with just the flowers above the snow.
|
Waiting for 60 degree days and sunshine, too, but gotta go with the flow. Planning to ski at least a couple of more days, and then I'll stretch the fly line in preparation for opening day in RI.

Fat chance - Look at the bright side - there was a year in the early 1800's in New England that they called 'The Year Without A Summer' - it snowed in July that year... |
It was killer Chuck!!
I am splashing the boat on 4/3 come hell or high water. |

Picked up a coupla real nice boat rods over the winter...customs on J Kennedy Fisher blanks...they sure will be nice for live-lining or tossing big eels once the season gets rolling...;) |
...and I picked up a sweet Seeker 8' wire rod especially made for the big bunker spoons. I cannot wait!!!
|
let us know how it works for you. I am an avid bunker spoon user. I had one made by Mike at M&D's few years ago, made a decent difference. Get yourself one these and a safety line too if you don't already have them.

It was squalling last night on the ferry ride back from ACK. Hyannis at 9pm was blizzard like and a PIA driving home after a long day of working on the island. By the time we hit the canal it was gone.

Funny, no snow in Pocasset last nite, thank god

Thanks Paul. I had great results last year with the Montauk Bunker Spoons. Once the water heated up I was dragging wire in 50 to 80 feet of water off Newport and hammering nice fish. Nothing over 30# but I always had fish. I had read, over the winter, about a longer rod made for the big swing the bunker spons do so I picked up this rod from a guy in Quincy on the other board. I'll let you know how it works out. |
