More broke antennas, overheated radios, waterlogged wiring, etc....KAAAACHING...and more $$$ for fishin this year :D

Foot plus here - still looks like we won't have a big snow since that April Foools day snow a few years ago.

And the guys in Baltimore are getting burried. I lived down there, they CAN'T handle it - don't know what to do :D

Was going to dry rods today but think I'll wait till it’s over. Kind of lousy when power goes out and you have to spin them by hand.

Ill be in work all day , this place never shuts down .

Same thing here, I don't think we would shutdown if it were 3' of snow never mind 1'. It's that corporate greed.....

Don't underestimate this storm guys---here on eastern LI we've already got about 14" on the ground and it's still snowing like a mother.

I remember a weather forecast in February 1978 that called for 8-12 inches ;)

Not only that, but for most people its a holiday.....

I thought they said the HEAVY snowfall wasnt gonna be here till later this afternoon?????:eek: I hate to think its gonna snow harder than it is right now!!! last I heard 18" to 24" .....the river will be a-flowing this spring thats for sure!!!!

Well... At least I'll get to use the new snow blower again. Not thrilled about it though. :rolleyes:

Just went to Stop&Shop, oh my god...
There were like 800 people fighting over two pieces of chicken. No steaks, no butter, almost out of eggs...
I went to finish the "Honey Do" list, all I had to get was two things from the deli.
I waited an hour...
I got the cold cuts though, not for me I might add...
We're closing both restaurants at 3 pm.
Good luck guys, I don't think the driving's that bad, though.

Mr. M- Make sure you get that snow off the tarp, especially before it turns to rain! The weight is far more damaging than the snow.

the tarp looks like its starting to cave in the middle and pull up on the sides, pretty soon her slip will be showing.. WOOWOO...:smash:

edgartown ferry this afternoon

can you see the light?

Unplowed roads down along south beach with nasty wind produced some awesome drifts. Snow was blowing over the hood and roof and stopped the truck at one point. They are going to need some big plows to blow through that stuff. Drifts down there are 3-4' easy Got slightly hung up in the trunk for a little while but managed...Couldn't make it down all the way to the ocean (got within 200 yards or so in Katama..the drifts were just too high. (was trying to get down on the beach to check the surf) The rest of the island is driveable but snowy.

That's funny, I call it the Chappy ferry. :laughs:

I call it chappy ferry too, but that pic was in my edgartown shots and it was called "ferry" hence edgartown ferry.
