Fish in SoCo
 

Got a call last night that there were fish in a certain River in SoCo up to 32" taken yesterday in the afternoon. I'm thinking holdovers but who knows.

Paul, I just checked the NOAA data buoy at Castle Hill - water temp is 52.5 right now

Got the day off so I think I'm gonna take a short stroll later this afternoon at high tide...:)

Our best spring river spots down this way are still inundated right now, but there's no reason why the fish shouldn't be active if you can get at them. My best opening day was 4/1/98 (27 fish) when we'd had a mild March like the one we just had. Can't hurt to start throwing a little tin out there. Good exercise if nothing else.

The information I got was from a guy that fishes a lot of flies in the Spring so I am assuming he was either fly fishing or using a teaser.

you guys are crazy there are no fish down here....

the guys that are good always seem to get into holdovers (actully there is a certain kayak fisherman around these parts that has been catching them year round)

Crazyness I say, Shenanagins even... We all know there are no fish in RI...:rotf2:

Certainly warm enough now. It always seems to be good the first hot day we get in April.

I opened up my email this AM to no less than 4 emails from my fly fishing freinds... all w/the same picture. Looked like a beautifull day to be out there...

wish I was wading that river right now. Being stuck in this office on a day like today is pure torture.

I hear ya there.... I got a list a mile long and am bouncing between Cape and here fishing with the old man... Ill be goin to Cape tomorrow again too then again Sat or Sun be gone that trip for 48 hours and A MIN... lol But def let me know we still gotta get to the Island too...
