Hey, fine and dandy here - also 20+ pounds lighter since June

Just now finishing up the mother of all home improvement projects...

Let's just say it involved 2 pallets of bricks, 5 or 6 yards of bank run and bluestone dust...all by hand with a shovel and wheelbarrow...and has taken me all summer to do it...:hs:

Now I know why you don't see many 61 year old stone masons

But the upside is I'm in shape to bail fifties all night long like so many choggies...:musc:...just lucky for them I haven't run into 'em yet

I'll be there - wouldn't miss it!

luds 09-30-2010 11:26 AM

Is there a Friday deadline to register? That's the only tough part for the out of towners. Psyched to participate in this again this year!

DZ 09-30-2010 01:37 PM

Hey Joe/Chuck - can we have the entry forms scanned and posted here so guys can enter by mail? This would help those living out of town and not near weigh stations.

DZ

luds 09-30-2010 02:03 PM

You guys do an awsome job running this and if I have to drive to M&D's to enter I will. Probably need to get some eels for that weekend anyway. Not the end of the world by any means. I would think keeping track of out of town entries could be tough so I totally get it if you don't want to do it.

Yeah, I drove all the way down to the Edge last night to sign up. Same thing. No forms.

JLH 10-01-2010 09:29 AM

Is fishing limited to RI & MA? Other obligations will keep me from fishing RI Friday but I might be able to sneak out for a few hours in CT.

I am picking up the tickets NOW. I will bring them to Quonny, Quaker Lane, and the Edge today. Jeff will bring them to M&D's tomorrow. You can sign up then.

Its going to be a good time and for a good cause!

DZ 10-01-2010 11:51 AM

DZ

tynan19 10-01-2010 03:43 PM

So is there a deadline on Friday? I may not be able to register until Sat unless I ahem cough cough it up on Friday.

Sundowner 10-02-2010 06:14 AM

this will be the first tourney I have ever entered. what the heck, right? even a blind squirell finds a nut. anyone gonna be fishing in Gansett, I'm sick of fishing alone.

striperman36 10-03-2010 11:46 AM

is this a boat and surf tourney?

Pt.JudeJoe 10-03-2010 11:52 AM

Surf only ,3 biggest fish. Besides the entry fee of $15.00 the main purpose here is to raise $ at the raflle for the kids at Hasbro Childrens Hospital.

striperman36 10-03-2010 12:00 PM

Bummer, looks to be a good cause and a nice weekend

So pay the $15 and go in the surf. I did the first 2 years and I had a boat both years. It's a good cause and John did a lot of good for a lot of people. You can give up one day in the boat and surf fish.:chased:

Dennis, that would be great. Las Vegas all last week working a trade show. Home 36 hours and off to another trade show right now. No way to get any place to register.

Pt.JudeJoe 10-04-2010 08:53 AM

If the guys at the Edge want to set something up to do that fine, otherwise it's sign up at the shops. I will bring tickets to Flos's Fri night if anyone wants to sign up there at 5. You just better not have a 30 pounder in the trunk!

BassDawg 10-05-2010 04:01 AM

It's worth trying to miss the Prime Rib if you're planning on fishing that night. Mix that thing with a couple of those clam thingies and some buds and I'm ready for bed. Sorry to say that I won't be making it down for Flo's this year and I know Josh is out that night.

bassballer 10-05-2010 08:09 AM

Ill be making it to coddington but not making it to flo's and might only get to fish one night. Got some freinds from florida coming in for ocktoberfest.

i hear ya Mike,

yet, i should be allright with the tides~~~

just one of those marriage SNAFU's that my bride is capable of. i'll settle for giving it my best shot for the remaining time that i am ABLE to be there. also, as luds elaborated on, i think that last year i was pretty wrecked and fished very weakly. ended up going in the drink on Sat night, and spent ALL of Sunday in gear recovery mode.

thanks to the DeCostas and the Grace of God,
things worked out,,,,,,,,,,,am hoping to actually FEESH this year

and make it to the Raffle/Fundraiser on Sunday.
thanks anywho luds and Josh. these things have a weigh of
working themselves out,,,,,,,,,,,or, at least i hope so~ cheers mates!!

We'll be extending our normal banker's hours this weekend to enable tired fisherman to weigh their fish in a little earlier this weekend.

We'll be opening early Saturday, with hours running from 7am to 5pm and on Sunday we'll be open from 7am to 9am, and 11am to 4pm.

mikecc 10-10-2010 06:03 AM

Just weighed in a 34lb for Dave Daluz
