Block of Rooms for TFCTFN
 

With the 9th Annual (WOW!) TFCTFN on its way, I was thinking that we should get a block of rooms. I was thinking that I might give the old Holiday Inn a call.

Holiday Day is also known as Seaport Inn & Marina.
They have two bed rooms for $89 via Expedia.
Can we get a block of rooms cheaper than $89
for double occupancy???

I'm betting if I can get 25 rooms they'll get it down.

I went to TFCTF about 5 or 6 years ago . . . I somehow ended up back in the "gym" - afterhours . . .

About all I recall is blueberry beer, pellet guns and a model beautiful woman on the treadmill . . . I went back to my room shortly before the cops arrived . . . I've been too frightened to return :rotf2:

I forgot all about that :rotf2: . There was 300#s of weights on and someone on top of that? Was that you standing on the weights?

Best Treadmill toss must be Redlite from previous year.

So,
Here's the story:
I was able to get a block of 20 rooms on the same floor for the price of $69 for the night.

For an extra $10 PP, we can book a hospitality suite, if we like, with a 62" tv, couch, etc. if anybody is inerested.

I need to confirm the total number of rooms at that rate by Tuesday 2/15, at which point I will give them my credit card to hold the block of rooms.

People will pay individually when they arrive, at the hotel front desk (you pay for your own room).

If you would like to save $20 a night from the rate of $89, please let me know as SOON AS POSSIBLE. I am sorry for the short notice, but I only have until Tuesday to confirm.

Please either post here or send me a PM if you'd like to participate. If I don't get the 15-20 responses by Tuesday, the offer is off, and you're on your own to book a room.

I'll be at the Cape, out of comms until Sunday, but will get back to anybody with questions after that.

You can count on Mikey for a room, and myself for a room to start off. That leaves 18 to go!

Okay, Rick did a great job getting a block of
rooms for $69. If we want the hospitality
room with kitchen, conference table etc. that
is an extra $10 on each room. Might be nice
for meeting everyone and after hours cards
and drinks. I made reservation just 10 minutes
ago. My bro Jim is coming down so we are
on bended knee for room at Bubba's table--
the lucky table. Block of rooms are all together
but if you want peace and quiet they will put
you next to the elevators.

If anybody else wants in, I will need to call tomorrow to confirm. Looks like we won't have enough people, as it stands right now. I'll still ask for the rate, but can't guarantee it.

With Jack and Rob, that makes 11 rooms. If four more respond, I think I can negotiate the rate. I'm going to call at noon today, so if four more people can commit, we'll go for the $69 with no hospitality room.

OK, so we get the rooms at $69 a nite. No hospitality room, we needed 20 rooms to get it at $10 per night.

Everyone will be paying at the desk individually, upon arrival.

You'll need to call the hotel and book your room, in advance, where you will be able to pick either king bed or double beds.

When I called I got the "ooooooh, you're part of that group" :biglaugh: After that I was ready to be asked if I wanted to add on some sort of insurance! :rotf2:
