From reading around it seems like a good amount of people found decent fish last night in numerous places. I believe it. A good friend got a 20# fish just messing around today and not at the canal. Good job, Mike...

no, it's not. that's the ridiculous part, fish are being caught all along the coast for the last three nights/days. These people think the only place to catch fish are the breachways though

It's that time of year.... you can't expect to fish a breachway in early September with a nice early tide and not have a crowd.

onecastmike2003 09-08-2011 12:49 PM

I didn't burn our spots or did I say where I was perched from. If you were standing on the chutes .... Thats your own stupid fault. I didn't call anyone on the phone and still havent told anyboudy what I was up to. One of you yahoo's called the bait shop and I havent been in there to tell him what's going on.

my thumb is still soar.

No, I just don't get down there that many times in the year and when the stars align, I go. Even when it's crowded and it's a crowd that actually knows what they are doing and how to fish a rotation, it's not that bad. This was not the case last night.

Fish seem to be showing up everywhere. I have lived in RI my entire life (56 years) and never fished a b way, most likely never will. Hope your success continues mike stay safe.

Dammmmmmmm My thumb is raw. ^ thanks

piemma 09-09-2011 04:25 AM

You know, I find this thread kind of interesting. It seems that there is a population of fishermen that believe the fish go to the Bahamas all Summer and suddenly show up on Labor day.

The fact of the matter is that there have been fish in RI, CT and MA all Summer. I have caught and released 30#+ fish every month since May. Some have been in my boat. None have been out side Narr Bay in the boat. A few have been from the Cape in the surf. Some have been from the Canal.

My point is that there have been fish all along the coast all Summer. There is no need to chase stupid reports and end up in a CF with a bunch of report chasers.:wall:

If you "put your time in" (old saying by old surfmen) you will get quality fish every month except Jan and Feb.:uhuh:

Rockport24 09-09-2011 09:02 AM

Amen to that! :uhuh:

We've had a steady pick of fish up these parts as well, including some nice fish (not caught by me though of course). Our kayak tournament (the shootout - which is C&R) saw multiple entries of fish that were sure to be in the 30 pound plus range.
