What year did you graduate from Rhody? I was there until 1993

Isn't URI's slogan "It's like high school for college age kids"?

Seriously, congrats to the angler on an awesome fish!

Saltheart 10-19-2011 12:25 PM

Congrats on a beast of a fish:buds:

Sea Dangles 10-19-2011 02:00 PM

Yup, the IGFA called him at 10 30 this morning. Hopefully this puts to rest the innuendo that has been spread by all the jealous naysayers. He deserves everything he has coming to him.

PaulS 10-19-2011 02:01 PM

Congrats. to the fisherman.

BigFish 10-19-2011 02:02 PM

Nice to see this record fall to a guy who fishes hard.

piemma 10-19-2011 04:18 PM

Never doubted it and said so from day 1. Guy has caught too many big fish to be cheating.

Boat fish dont count! :fishin: Any dumb azz can float over a spot and stick fish..... tourist do it all the time. Now if he hunted that fish down with korkers ..... I would do a double take but to me he's just another boat guy that don't mean #^&#^&#^&#^&t in my book!

Yawn

Some people are simply awesome anglers that will exceed no mater where or how they fish - that top 1 or 2%. Clearly this Myerson dude is one of them. I don't know if you have ever been fortunate enough to fish with any of those top 2% guys but if you did you would realize this.

I have little doubt in my mind that if he went Rocks and Cleats he would still outfish you. He would certainly outclass you.

Rob Rockcrawler 10-19-2011 04:35 PM

Glad it is settled. Good for him.

Jackbass 10-19-2011 04:42 PM

Congrats that is a major accomplishment

I have to admit I was one of the skeptical ones when I first saw Meyerson's fish, guess this puts all questions to rest.

I thought RHM only fished greenies out of respect, what's this talk of a VS??

BigFish 10-19-2011 05:08 PM

The "Nay-Sayers" can piss and whine all they want......he has his name in the column as a world record holder!!! Boat or surf its quite a fish and I congratulate him!!:uhuh:

BigFish 10-19-2011 05:43 PM

Wish I had Greg Meyerson's kind of luck????

Got marinated in fiberglass, like most all record breakers I suppose.
Nice Mount!

My hat is off

Congratulations Mr. Myerson, if he had caught it after October 1st he could have cashed in big time. If he doesn't beat it himself maybe some other person could become a millionaire. Register if you use Mustad hooks. Click here:
