Can't lay the blame on Brady. Not his fault his receivers got the dropsies with the game on the line.

Although the receivers dropped some balls, I think you could squarely put this one on the coaching staff. I could see not getting Gronk the ball in the first half, let the Giants think he is a decoy. In the second half, more importantly in the 4th quarter they should have gotten him the ball, he was open numerous times. Please tell me why, when you are up by 2 and marching down the field with 3:50 left do you slow the game down by pulling out Hernandez and running the friggen ball. They could have kept the no huddle going, put the ball in the end zone maybe leaving 2:30 on the clock. The Giants D was lost at that time with the no huddle, and the Pats scoring chances were looking good for that drive. They would have put all of the pressure on Manning to score twice with 1 timeout and maybe the 2 minute warning for clock management. Oh well, at least the B's have a chance to repeat...

DITTO. That next to last drive stalling tactic SUCKED! |
I guess I fall into the "...obnoxious rude loudmouth blowhard Giants Fan..." Both teams were lucky to be playing the game. Could have been Ravens and 49ers pretty easily. Brady was superb, at one point going 16 for 16, I think. A big play here, a drop there. Could have gone the other way. Heck, it came down to the last play. You can go on and on second guessing things. Strap 'em on and play.
It was a good game. I'm glad the Giants won. I wasn't believing all of the early blather about how much better they are. Recently, these 2 teams have always played very close games. The last 4 times they have met it's been so, with NY taking 3 of those matches. From what I have seen, the Patriots players and coaches have handled the loss with grace and professionalism. You Pats fans can be proud of your squad. It's a classy and winning organization. (Chad was an oops in my view). My 2 cents |

Dude, i just had my coffee and re read what you wrote. Are you serious you are gunna put me on ignor after all the flack i took last year for being a Chiefs fan, yeah thats right a Chiefs fan, and then you are trying to get others to put me on ignor, really bro really? Think you are taking this a little to serious, it was all in good fun, sorry you didnt see it that way. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
Hi guys your team did you guys proud. Making it to the superbowl is a feat in itself and they played well. I am happy the Giants came up on top and earned the win against a worthy opponent. Its all you could ask.

Skippy, What the hell do you as a Chiefs fan have a beef with the Pats about ? The Cheifs are NOBODYS in the NFL and to the Patriots. At least with my Raiders & the Pats there is a history of hate from both sides ! |
Quote:
I guess that could cause animosity towards anyone that beat Denver. :rotf2: |

Furthermore i hate the pretentious bandwagon jumping fans of those sports, that are so fast to come to judgmente, but quicker to call themselfs fans when they succeed. I could sit here and make procolmations about spygate, and other questionable things that have happen over the years but i wont, cause its a discussion that has no end. But i will say this, look how mad eveyone got with a little jocularity and a little fun, yet its ok for me to get blasted last year, but when i won the bets and walked away a winner with plugs it was ok and all was forgotten because its all in good fun. Where adults take life easy and in stride, have fun and stop take stuff so seriously. If your mad because you bet a ton of money and lost it, its called gambling, dont take it out on the rest of us. My intent had no malice behind it, it was to have some fun with some "friends" i thought i madehad last year, not to get people on a horse and Paul Revere the site to put me on ignore. Which to me is crazyness. If you have a problem with me take it to pm and keep it off the forums or call me, most of you have my number! Leave the drama off the forum. If Nightfighter feels better about putting me on ignore so be it but again it was all in jest, if someone is will to relay that to him i would be more then happy to discuss via PM, over the phone, or face to face. Skippy,
You saying up till 85-86 you were a Pats fan then became a Chiefs fan ? If so, WHAT A FRAUD ! |

However if you are stating that because once at 9 yrs old i liked the pats and was devastated by that season, then i guess that would mean i abandoned them, then that i would agree with. I would like to reference my previous statement of how NE fans have been in the past and at 9 that would be very impressionable wouldnt you say? So in conclusion i wouldnt say i was a fraud but influenced by the culture and enviorment the fans fostered. Skip Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
So it's all societies fault? A 9 year olds tragic dreams crushed by Jim McMahon, The Fridge and Sweetness...Patriot Nation hasn't been the same, we will still welcome you back but for punishment you have to ride in the short band wagon..so you don't get hurt jumping off again!

actually the kiddie wagon would be better, it has padding

And i am not paying for this therapy session but incase you are wondering i am laying on a couch, dealing with the other thing. Coming back over almost happen till the chiefs started buying the used pats players so i get to enjoy them with out the disappointments :0 Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
One bad loss was all it took? If I could survive 1964-1986 as a Giants fan, anyone should be able to shrug off one bad loss. :D

They were competitive the next few years. I went to almost every home game between 1976 and 1981. End zone tickets were like $8 back then. |
