Food For TFCTFN
 

Hi Everyone,
I never thought I would say this, but this year is the TENTH TFCTFN!

As is our tradition, my brother (used to be my assistant in the kitchen), Messy Matty (worked in many fine restaurants), Parksie (J&W) and I (CIA tranied) will handle the food for the event.

We provide the sternos, chafing dishes, aluminum hotel pans, etc, to warm everything up (I think I can get ahold of plastic silverware, as well).

What we like to see is donations of the following:
Soft Drinks
Plates/Napkins
Appetizers/Salads
Entrees (rolls)
Desserts

Generally, we put together a pot luck spread that I think most people think is pretty good.

Please remember all funds raised are what keep the lights on here all year long.

John, can you make this sticky?

I just saw something on the food channel called Bomba rice. Rick, maybe you can bring that. As far as my culinary credentials go, I was the drive thru guy at McDonald's until I was 20 years old. So JR maybe you should make this a sticky.:devil2::jump1:

Can I get the details of this: Not sure what is it for and where and when? I would to donate something

I'll bring my usual chicken legs in wine sauce.

Bomba Rice...the medium grained Spanish rice traditionally used for Paellla. Was my boy Jose Andres at the helm of your show?

Ricky, I'm in for my usual 2 cheese cakes. I brought 7 dozen rolls and 5 loaves of Italian bread last year (got a baker friend in town). I don't think they went. You want them again?

VFW Hall in Fairhaven MA. Post Island. Really easy to find. RT 18 off 195 to Fairhaven and it's the first or second right over the bridge.

I think the guys tried but didn't succeed.

Thanks Paul. Doesn't matter to me but I brought them last year. If you want to bring them just let me know and I'll up my cheese cake anty by one.

You get the rolls just make sure I get a piece of cheesecake - I've got to get to it before eelskimmer does

Wow...seems a little skimpy on the food, everybody who hasn't answered...is anybody else bringing anything (or showing up, for that matter)?

Captain Cupcake is in with the usual homemade cupcakes. Food is looking a little light so I can make up some american chop suey too.

Im coming and will be bringing something, not sure what, will chime in later in the week with it. Last year i brought paper towels. If y'all need aprons or towels i can bring them.

Thanks for the replies to everyone who has pledged a donation, but I must say that we are a long way off from our usual list.

We still need paper plates, and more entrees, desserts, and sides.

Apple cider pork tenderloins, its weird but wicked good, moms recipe. I hope the raffle table is as good as last year, that thing kicked ass.

The raffle table never matters to me. The only thing I ever won was a certificate from John saying that I have never won anything.:rotf2:
