New show on AP. Fisherman's reality TV show. I'm applying, why the heck not? I would imagine that it's right up the alley of many SB members as well.

Go for it Kevin! Send them the footage of your survival at sea last year. Also play up the gloucester connection. I will watch the show and hope u do not get voted "onto" the island!

The problem with these shows is they turn you into a puppet through their heavy handed direction, combined with their lack of knowledge of the subject matter in hopes of higher ratings... the result??? after editing you look like a friggin' clown...

Good luck Kevin , I unfortunately have a face for radio and lack any real fishing skills but I will sure watch it.

I just think it would be hilarious to be known as the top hooker in the USA.

My sister held that title for a while a few years ago.

Now I'm trying to wrest it from Nebe.

This sounds awesome. I think top shot is a pretty cool show, so if its anything lke that it should be a cool experience.

Ok I did some digging on this show. I know someone pretty well that is on the short list to make the show. Currently they are filling the cast with representatives from all over the US and he is on his third interview and has submitted more than one video. That is not to say they are not going to be taking other north east anglers or pooling people for season 2. I can't tell you who it is. But it is someone I have fished with in the past

I'd agree with this. i mean they are going to try to get ratings and no one (outside of the fishing communtity) is gonna watch alot of what we as fisherman consider our skills. even i were eligible i probablly wouldn;t audition for it.

That said it should be something to watch, and to those of you who have entered, i wish nothing but the best of luck to you :grins:

I haven't heard anything recently on it. My buddy wound up going to LA tk do some test shots etc. he had issue with some of the disclaimers after he sent them to his attorney and la de da he is off the show. There was also a guide from NJ that did not make it

A CSA Club member was on the show- said it was all legit nothing scripted- was one of the best things he ever did in his life - can't say more- Watch the show in April.

I had 2 interviews and submitted a vid but didn't make the third cut... Like Andy said, I have a face for radio anyhow.. and I'm not sure I would have liked being away from my boys without any contact for a month. :smash:

Hey all! Just got done filming the season premier of "Off The Hook" for The Animal Planet. WOW, this is gonna be some funny sheet! I am actually "Acting" in this show, lines and all!!

My guy actually knows the name of the show.
