any interest in a ma/ri fall run gathering? maybe a beach somewhere where we can fish, cook, fish, drink, fish, and have fun. fishing doesn't have to be off the charts but some action would be nice. maybe a food thread to go with it. i know it will be tough to agree on a date & spot but thought it would be worth a try.

SB legs used to happen every year. One would be at M&Ds. One in Rhody, and maybe one on the North Shore. C&R on the honor system.

Of course I will be there.

looks like we'll be swapping back yards.

It's a friggin huge deck with no secret spots, open to all vehicles, fires, beer, food and fishing/checking out each others set ups. I can't think of a better spot to do all of the above. Maybe under the power lines? There have been some ragers there lately?

don't know why I didn't think of there. it's perfect for what I had in mind.

I am in....South Shore is a perfect place.

I'm planning for 10/19/13 ss beach little compton. set up around 3 for the meet and greet. Bring your families and or whoever wants to come hang out. you can bring grills or open fire here it's pretty cool. Moon high tide is around 8:30pm so we have a couple of ours of incoming tide and plenty of time to have fun and put some more faces to these names before hitting the surf. If there are those who can't make the date/place maybe we can get another one going somewhere closer to another group as well. I like the idea (of times past)of staggered leg gatherings as some might be able to travel to all. that would be awesome. start in the north and follow them south! I look forward to meeting all who can make it.

To anyone that is a member or especially a lurker ( as i have become). U r cheating yourself if u dont show up.
I have made some of my best life long friends ( ie people i talk to on a regular basis about other than fishing) as either a direct result of this site or the legs. I have fond memories of my first bashful attendence to the one at weekapaug.
South shore beAch in LC is a perfect location as it is smack dab in between gooseberry and sakonnet point. Plenty of varied places to fish wether it be chunkin, wading, or swimming near by as well as river. It is right next to a herring run that should have bait coming out. A side note is a 50 was takin there this year. Romantic sun set and we can have open fires so if fishin sucks we can always resort to "Plan B".
Honestly as i said if u r a member or especialy a lurker here, u should make every opprtunity to go as u r missing out on a great opprtunity to actually meet the people u interact with in cyberspace; talk, eat, learn , and even better teach poeple something.

October 19 - that Saturday is the MS Tourney, which S-B plans to fish. It would be great to get an old school effort for that tourney.

As the fishing area is limited from Napatree Point to Narrow River, RI, any get together that weekend should be down that way so we can fish the Tourney.

Jones - good ideas - that date is tough & conflicts with the MS Tourney
