that's a REAL travesty of JUSTICE
how many signatures on a petition would it take to INCREASE penalties and fines for these BASTARDS.??????? http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c6...ob1/school.png |
Imagine being the green cop who made the bust, sitting in the courtroom when the penalty was announced.
I'd be tempted to throw something at the judge, like my badge. :cens: |
Wait till Imigration Reform..

We need to get more judges hooked on fishing ... although the courts are not likely to take these matters more seriously ... too much trouble flooding the courts for them to care about this issue despite it having further reaching ramifications than they realize from an economic, livelihood and political standpoint ... there were some charter captains in the Florida Keys that got caught with lobsters during the off season, their cars and boats were confiscated and some of them went to jail with hefty fines ... but it's also because the lobster industry in Florida has very serious connections politically and economically - at least that state realizes the significance.

fIN ,
That,s is one of the biggest problems / the judges ^ the legal system for the most part /just don,t get it ; If the majority of high court officals were serious fisherman & were in tune to what is going on .It would have a much different result . Some of the courts mix F & W violations on the same docket as criminal . & civil . Soo went they are dealing with rape, car theif, eviction, etc & a case comes up with someone fishing without a license or better yet digging shellfish in pollutated water , if they don,t have a commercial license &&& in some cases even if they do .. many officals truly feel WTF .. in the scope of what they see in a day ....... slap on the wrist ,, nickel & dime violations to them Now if we had officials like the real Senator Chaffee I bet we would have seen real changes years ago :fury: Every month I check the F&W arrests & enforcement violations ......... many show the offense & the penality they were given ...........trully a joke ><>:fishin: |

That's disgusting.
Maryland (and all the other states) need to get serious about enforcement. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
except for Maine & Florida /I can,t name another state on the east coast [personally] that puts a real priorty on there natural resources & F & W :fishin:

These Tilghman Island guys probably trace back to the 1600's. There ancestors were illegal according to the natives. Maybe immigration reform will help get those families booted after 400 years. They were only poaching in the 20,000lb range. English scum. |

The reality is the conservative lawmakers hate any kind of enforcement that drains budgets. In Brooklyn there are only 2 DEC officers! The com guys that get tags every year don't even need tags, don't use them, don't need them. On a separate note,Where was the national media (CNN, NPR, Fox, NY Times.) When they found that illegally submerged gill net in the Chesapeake with 10 tons of bass?! Or the NC Dragger massacre 3 years ago? I saw a couple articles in the Baltimore Sun, that was all? So basically no press coverage re this historically important fish. Sad because there are a lot of real Journalist that could help, but don't because quite frankly they are scared. I don't blame them, I wrote a book on subject my life will never be the same. But yet these Junalist profess to be Bass fisherman with an affinity with the fish. We need more Jim Whites (from Russell's Striper Wars) and C Sherman's out there.

I noticed several EPO 's and their trucks working ( looking in holes and occasionally directing traffic) daily in Cambridge . So I don't know when they are actually doing the job they were hired to do .
Incredible waste of the few officers we have . Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
size limit is 18" and they still took short fish. what a bunch of DBs.:biglaugh:
