New to Forums

Hey All,
I'm new to the forums, been lurking a bit and I like it. Anyway, I grew up fishing Boston Harbor, (Carson Beach, Sugarbowl, Edison, etc.) I don't get out as often as I'd like, maybe once a week and an annual charter trip, but it feeds the fever.
Caught some schoolies earlier this year down at the mouth of the Bass River and a couple of attempts at the Sugarbowl were fishless. We'll see what happens this weekend:cool:

Sorry to hear about your stuff JHABS, hope you find the little bastiges:hang:

Yeah so anyways, if anyone wants to be kind enough send me a PM or something would love to know one or two spots to check out and then i will work on finding stuff from there....I know you are all territorial of your spots, that's a god given,

Finally getting my car out of the shop today....and looking to take the rod out somewhere this evening even though it's cool....

likwid 07-10-2003 02:00 PM

fishing from shore?
gee
and to think i've been swimming around wiggling my toes all along!

schoolie monster 07-10-2003 02:24 PM

No kidding Van... I've become a major lame-@ss. I've fished from shore once this season down at the cape very early on. Oh, and I did some wading on a stingray infested flat for about an hour in FL.

And I've gotta be honest, I don't have much ambition to do it anytime soon. I'll put some time in on my favorite south shore spot in the fall, that'll probably be the soonest.

Welcome aboard to all the new folks...

Van 07-10-2003 03:03 PM

Yea, I just love ribbing those "shore" guys....

Welcome to all new members.

Remember....
Fishing is fun, if you actually catch something its a bonus !!!!!!!!;)

Notaro 07-11-2003 06:10 AM

And anyplace in between :) ... Sweppler - welcome to S-B. If you are looking for something closer to home than Monomoy, try places aroung Pegotty Beach in Scituate, Scituate light and the rocks in front, either end of Nantrashket Beach, up around the Gut, World's End - especially the quick river's on the east side, the Weir River, the parks in Weymouth... That's just a couple places to get you started and I didn't include any of "my" spots :D - at least the major ones.

Got Stripers 07-11-2003 07:16 AM
