Anybody Have Any Good News?

Wondering if anybody has any good news to share because the past 2-3 weeks has been a real kick in the stones!:smash:

Hey, I had an operation, it went well and now I can whiz like a racehorse.
Unless you’ve had to be catheterized you’ll never know how good a thing that is

My kid has submitted all his Eagle Scout paperwork and has his official board in 2 weeks.

And he is a better teenager that I was (by far)

Larry . I think its been a lot longer than that …………..I,m having a hard time with >>>>>[Enjoy what you have }

John ………… that,s great now all ya have to do is keep him in the house …….a kid that looks as good as he does & has smarts must have them lined up someplace :hidin:

Slipknot 01-10-2019 07:44 PM

My good news is I’ve been back to work again and my fingers are healing fine, kept them clean and they look great compared to a month ago. Doc says nails will come thru but could take 3 months. Other than that it’s good to be above ground.

PaulS, take it slow with those ribs.

John, good luck to Liam, but’s sounds like he doesn’t need it.

My wife and I have had our 19month old grandson (sans parents) for a week and I'm totally worn out from playing and laughing. Feels great.

Next week its off to N Caicos for some more DIY bonefishing. That should feel great as well.

Sea Dangles 01-10-2019 09:16 PM

I will be traveling to Syracuse Next weekend for yet another father/son frat weekend. Tim is a senior so I will get a reprieve until Mikey gets out of high school. It also feels great to survive a couple trips up north to ski and enjoy the outdoors without injury. Hoping for many more this season with the same result.

Nice - up there you're less than an hour from steelhead country. Does he fish?

Katie 01-11-2019 08:41 AM

Business is growing and doing well. It also seems as I've survived long enough to turn 29 in 2 weeks. I'm ok with this.

piemma 01-11-2019 11:08 AM

Congrats John. I have known Liam since he was little. I remember going to a Cub Scout breakfast his troop sponsored. God! How long ago was that?

My wifes mom, who has lived with us for the last 12+ years, turns 99 next week. Born on a ranch in Texas many miles from any real town. She is still "with it" and doesn't miss anything that goes on.
Sits down with us every night for dinner and finishes her plate, then checks to see how i'm doing. She knows nights I go fishing and always asks if I caught anything! She loves fresh fish of any kind. Pretty sure she'll make 100...but we're making a big deal out of this one....taking her to foxwoods overnight......she will have a great time I'm sure.

Thanks Clammer...We moved them into our home back when her father got sick...sadly he passed away here with us several years ago. If she had been sent to a nursing home I don't believe she would have made it this far.... she is extremely well cared for...lucky woman. When I married her daughter 41 years ago, she wasn't that keen about me. Something about being of english decent, to her, meant a cold heart.

I wish you peace and contentment and a better year than last.

Well the good news in this case was that we got there in time to deliver the mail to you. Otherwise it would have been a much longer tow up to Providence.....
