WORLD LEADERSHIP??
America is abandoning Kurdish allies who stood on the front line in the years-long fight against ISIS.

another version is that yes we fought alongside them to battle ISIS, and that ISIS has been routed from that region, and also that trump ran on a promise to not commit to endless conflicts . if the world owes it to the kurds to help them, and maybe it does, can someone else take a turn? what’s the UN for, exactly? i don’t know if this is a good decision or a faithless betrayal. tell me why someone else can’t take a turn helping the kurds? i liked Mattis, and when trump announced this withdrawal months ago, i think it’s a reason why lattes resigned, which makes me wonder about the soundness of the decision, mattis is seemed like a great leader. trump also warned turkey earlier this year that there would be serious consequences if they invaded syria, has he backed off that? America first. The rest of the world can burn on its own- trump idealism

I think it is bad, I do not agree with it but:
The Kurds (PKK in particular) have fought everyone for thousands of years Obama shagted the Kurds Bush shafted the Kurds Clinton shafted the Kurds Bush shafted the Kurds Unless you called that out, all y'all ring a little hollow. |

we lead there. now why can’t someone else step up? you used to be very reasoned and thoughtful. why can’t someone else help out? what is the UN for, exactly? Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
Socking Trump has given another authortairn leader the Green light to go on the offensive against those who helped us the most?? What is Turkey going to give Trump for this gift he laid at their feet.. and why now?

US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, a close ally of the president, called the announcement a "disaster in the making", saying he would introduce a Senate resolution opposing the decision and calling for it to be reversed.
The withdrawal represents a significant shift in US foreign policy and goes against the advice of senior officials in the Pentagon and state department Trump has no clue what he is doing this is just another example .. and too think you thought Obama thought he was a King lol Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |

does the rest of the world have any responsibility? or just the US? we went there to fight ISIS, i don’t think the mission was to prevent Turkey from invading. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |

I think you have made this forum a cesspool and there is no reason not to respond to insults with insults. If this place was serious there would be no reason to allow SD to post to post her with his constant childish comments. It is embarrassing. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |

Trump wouldn’t recognize good foreign policy if it jumped out of the bag of Cheetos staining his face and bit him on the nose.

with republicans. is graham a trump pet? you don’t get it. you don’t get how foolish it is to bash graham last week, and then assume he’s credible this week because he agrees with you. i’m not saying i agree with trumps plan here, i said if mattis and haley agree it’s bad, it may we’ll be bad. it’s just funny when you embrace a guy ( graham) who last week you were mocking. Makes some of you look back fondly on Obama's lack of Strategy on Syria.

True. I don't like it but yes we need the UN. How do we unwind the UN from their fantasy beliefs? Remember, counties like Angola, Cuba, and Saudi Arabia calling out Israel for cruelty and supressing rights. Quote:
We need to be the global power because we are less bad than Russia or China. We have a lack of leadership on the right, and from what I have seen of the Dem candidates, I am not voting for them either. |
nobody is praising this as a good decision, nobody.

I think it's pretty amazing we're in a situation where Congress is contemplating sanctioning a NATO member over a plan the Administration gave the green light to.
Let that sink in. |
