30+ days and counting!!!

Will start dragging my gear out and tuning everything that needs a little tweaking! Check the auger blades on all 3 augers, replace old line, rig up what needs rigging, replace what needs replacing, and see what "latest and greatest" gadget I might want to try.

Then start (secretly) praying for cold weather and ICE, plenty of ICE!!!

where is your favorite area UP NORTH?

FishermanTim 11-10-2014 12:35 PM

Lake Winnipesaukee (NE corner - brother lives in the area)
Lake Chocurra in Tamworth
Lake Kanasatka near Center Harbor
Lake Wentworth in Wolfborough
Lake Pemigewassat and Wicwas in Meredith

They're not "secret" spots, just places I try and hit every winter because of prior successes and current potentials.

Last season I was able to and a few 12-14" white perch and some 14-16" crappies. There's also the potential for some good yellow perch and hand-sized sunnies.

Of course I don't want to forget/ignore the bass, lakers and burbots that some waters can produce.

I try and find at least one "new" waterway to try each winter, just so I can have a list of 2nd or 3rd options if #1 doesn't pan out.
