Wednesday Plans for the Bank

Stellwagen forecast looks nice on Wendesday.

Looks like I'm taking a vacation day and going out.

Anyone else here planning to head out?

PRBuzz 11-01-2010 11:27 AM

I'm working on getting a crew together for Wed. WOW did the forecast chage for the better.

srt44116 11-01-2010 06:44 PM

We will be hittng the Bay first, If thats non-succesfull, we will shoot out to the bank. Hopeing the bite is still hot. Tight lines

Moses 11-01-2010 07:21 PM

Yup, looks like I'll be taking wed off also and heading out to that general area. Will either launch out of GH or Plymouth.

Plenty of school fish on the SEC. Larger fish in the general vicinity. Multiple 900+ lbs brought to the fish house in the last 48 hours. Flat ass calm for Wednesday so slow presentation down. Good luck.

Sea Flat 11-02-2010 11:50 AM

Yeah, no brainer!! I am taking tomorrow and getting out there.

I am going to put in in Sandwich and start out in CC Bay and work my way NE and see what I see.

Good luck to all and be safe.:)

Piscator 11-02-2010 01:24 PM

Piscator 11-03-2010 08:29 PM

Plenty of fish out there. Sounded like a lot of fish were landed on the radio. I went 0-1. Went tight and ended up loosing a fish. :smash:

O.D. Mike 11-03-2010 08:42 PM

Doesn't anyone work anymore, looked like a floating city out there yesterday, easily 100+ boats in the area where we fished.

You'll have to get a report from Moses on successfully landing a fish.:)

saltyric 11-04-2010 05:52 AM

Congrats to all.....I heard it was one fire down there for a couple of hours......

I'm still looking for a window to head down and try out my new OTI rod....

fish4striper 11-04-2010 07:19 AM

We went 1 for 2 , 63 " released spinning rod jigged with a silver ronz. 2nd one broke off 30 secs after hookup.

buckman 11-04-2010 07:49 AM

Sea Dangles 11-04-2010 09:14 AM

I want to thank Bilda for driving through the middle of a school about 30' away from me.The favor will be paid back eventually.Beautiful boat with a d-bag at the helm.

iamskippy 11-04-2010 09:52 AM

there is a few donkey hats out of gallee that will do the same thing, when i had my 50/50 on off the second can from block, the asshat from the macko tried to run the fish over when it decided to break water, still owe him for that

Wow, I am surprised that some people actually caught. Good for you. I thought the fish were quite finicky yesterday. I hate jigging so I was mostly running and gunning. Fish came up and down so quick it was tough to get good shots at them. That's when I started jigging. Only dogfish to show for those efforts.

So many boats out there yesterday it was amazing, looked like a Sunday in July.

We went 1 for 2 on spinning gear. Plenty of fish out there too of all sizes.

I lost one deep jigging a Pt Jude after a 10 minute battle. My Streamline wind on leader clean broke. The remaining flouro was so stretched it was all compromised. We are thinking it somehow got tail wrapped but not sure.

Equipment - VS jigging rod, Fin Nor 8500 with 80 lb PP with Streamline wind on.

A couple minutes after losing this fish, my buddy cast an unweighted white sluggo that got crushed. 35-40 minute battle as we passed the rod around. 57" fish landed.

Equipment - OTI Tuna Sniper 60/80 rod, Saragosa reel with 60lm JB hollow with Basil wind on.

thefishingfreak 11-04-2010 11:22 AM

There are 6 boats in that photo.

Nice job moses

Nice catch Mike and great report. There aren't many guys that would report such details....here's to you.

Nice meeting you yesterday morning at the launch.

Typhoon 11-04-2010 11:44 AM

I heard 70 confirmed boats fishing the whiting draggers.

A pile on the SEC corner.

I was there. Didn't count them but there were a very large number of boats ranging from 18 footers on up. Saw a handful of fish caught. Regrettably, we weren't one of those boats.
