Painting Help

I'm having some trouble getting the paint to blend at the transition between the back and the bottom. I tried to paint a darter black over silver and ended up having to mask it to prevent the drips. Am I possibly too close? Any hints?

What kind of eyes do most of you use and where is the best place to get them? I was thinking of using some of those stick on prismatic eyes but I don't have the faintest idea where to look.

Try holding the spray can a little farther away and put it on lightly. 2 coats are better than trying to get it to cover with 1 heavy coat.

Eyes: try flyfishing store or CMS also has them.

I was thinking of putting in an order to Whitchcraft for 1000 of the 1/2" and maybe even 1000 of the 3/8" 3D eyes.

If there is any interest in spliting these, I can try to get them before the get together.

I think I'll stick with plain flat eyes until I really get into it......

Thanks for the help, I'll eventually get to where I want to be...
