Are you targeting footballs or giants? What type of reels?

If you're using a spinning rod, learn to splice and go with Jerry Brown hollow 60. The breaking strength is like 90-100 lbs.

A spliceable 80 lb test either JB or Moimoi to name just 2 lines. Splice the top shot in 80 lb fluoro. I assume that this is for spinning gear?

Otherwise run to save money if using 50's use 80 momoi mono.

IMO 80 JB is overkill on a spinning rod- Like f4s said, the breaking strength of 60 JB is ~90 lb. You won't break it even if the drag is set to approximately 20 lb, and I'd prefer to have the extra line. But that's just me.

But definitely learn how to splice the hollowcore and make a few wind-on leaders. 80lb flouro would do the ticket.
