People are struggling to get by these days, many are without work and what do the Politicians want to do???? Raise the taxes! They want to raise the gas tax......they want to charge a tax for every mile we drive!!!! They want to raise the state income tax now because......"there is less tax coming in due to all of the residents who are out of work".........what a great solution....raise the state income tax!! So basically all of us who are still working have to pay the freight??? No tax reform on behalf of the government....no overspending or abuse of funds has taken place right?? Where is all this "Stimulus" money??? Almost a Trillion Dollars????? Supposed to be distributed to States, Cities and Towns to help keep jobs and create more jobs???? If so then why did New Bedford lay off 150 city workers??? Fire Dept., Police and town workers??? Mayor of Boston is talking layoffs.....but where is all the "Stimulus" money??? When will these "New Jobs" appear????:huh: They are talking a "second" "Stimulus" package already.....and by the way...this would be the "third" "Stimulus" package....the first one was named a "Bailout". Very clever those Politicians....very clever! They tax us when we make it, they tax us when we save it, they tax us when we invest it, they tax us when we spend it, they tax us when we fish, they tax us when we drive, they tax us when we drink water, they tax us when our feet hit the floor in the morning!!!!! My suggestion is......begin here......bring our soldiers home from the Middle East ASAP!!! Right there we will be saving......I forget the dollar figure per day for that shindig but lets say its $50,000,000 a day!!! Lord knows Iraq is not paying for any of that party!!! WTF!!!! I would guess that out of every dollar we earn....we pay about 65 cents of that dollar to the friggin' Government as it is!!!!!

You're mixing Federal and State taxes. I don't think the Feds really care about State taxes when formulating policy. They each only care about their own budgets.

Dear IRS,

I am sorry to inform you that I will not be able to pay taxes owed April 15, but all is not lost. I have paid these taxes: accounts receivable tax, building permit tax, CDL tax, cigarette tax, corporate income tax, dog license tax, federal income tax, unemployment tax, gasoline tax, hunting license tax, fishing license tax, waterfowl stamp tax, inheritance tax, inventory tax, liquor tax, luxury tax, Medicare tax, city, school and county property tax (up 33 percent last 4 years), real estate tax, social security tax, road usage tax, toll road tax, state and city sales tax, recreational vehicle tax, state franchise tax, state unemployment tax, telephone federal excise tax, telephone federal state and local surcharge tax, telephone minimum usage surcharge tax, telephone state and local tax, utility tax, vehicle license registration tax, capital gains tax, lease severance tax, oil and gas assessment tax, Colorado property tax, Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, Oklahoma and New Mexico sales tax, and many more that I can't recall but I have run out of space and money.< /div>

When you do not receive my check April 15, just know that it is an honest mistake. Please treat me the same way you treated Congressmen Charles Rangel, Chris Dodd, Barney Frank and ex-Congressman Tom Daschle and, of course, your boss Timothy Geithner No penalties and no interest.

P.S. I will make at least a partial payment as soon as I get my stimulus check.

THE war on DRUGS
 

Eliminate it immediately...

now the first thing you think of is

not while my kids are in question or in jeopardy...
same as the NIMBY effect.....

but it's the illegality of drugs especially marijuana
that has transformed a harmless weed into a multi- billion
dollar business that cannot be stopped ever !!!!!

Christ all mighty..... its been over forty years of war and
all those billions of dollars have been wasted...imagine all
those billions of dollars we Americans are spending on drugs going
back into the economy instead of going to the drug lords.
or................... another idea...

then TAX it... $50 dollars per ounce is being suggested in California recently. it sounds wacky i agree "on the table" but it's the illegality that makes it profitable in the first place and ultimately desirable. that would boost tourism 50-80 % overnight

ok enough about that... but just think about it...realistically
because the real drug war is inches away from spilling over into this country as a ALL out WAR ,,, not just smuggling even though they have in roads all the way to Canada and back again...

The DEA does a 2 million dollar bust and they think they did some major dent in their operation... and that is a huge crock of crap
because they could give away 2 million every day and still be laughing all the way to their off shore banks.... WHY?

because we made drugs illegal and there fore profitable in the first place.... let the Arab nations have their all the heroin, hashish ,,ganja, opium ,and any other drug that makes them passive i say...

did ya know they are offering tribesmen Viagra for info...that's right!

because if you just take our own money from our taxes and dump it back to each individual state... say 104 billion .... 2 billion given back to each state for helping their economy where needed is

I think their should be a huge tax credit for anyone who grows a garden and donates food to food banks... also
