Boston Bruins ...

Okay the B's are doing pretty good as of late, they are in 12th place right now with a chance to make their way back up to 8th for a playoff spot.

Now for those who want to play in my game ... all you have to do is predict where the bruins will finish in the run for the playoffs this season.

Winner will receive one of the plugs I made (squid, seen in "Plug Building - Got Wood, 1st attempt).

Now you have to give your best estimate because if no one gets it exact then the plug will go to whoever is the closest to it. Play fair and NO they're gonna be going to play golf in Florida at seasons end DOES NOT count as a guess.

I'm just trying to have some fun and I hope you's do to.

Tight lines to all! :gu:

The Dad Fisherman 02-21-2007 01:00 PM

They will be staying right where they are at .....#12

BrianS 02-21-2007 01:34 PM

I think you meant the Celtics, and hey, that could be a very good thing! Hope we get Oden! And is he overrated? who knows :-)

I pick the Bruins to come in 10th

I retract my vote after going to last nights game. 12th! These guys need to toughen up! No intensity at all! See my new thread from this morning about last nights game.

pops02 02-27-2007 03:36 PM

14th

chris L 02-27-2007 03:51 PM

9th right behind the islanders , who will make it to the playoffs and get booted in the 1st or 2nd round .

teaser 03-25-2007 06:19 PM

Okay, the Bruins are officially out of the race and can only be classified as spoilers now.

Let's see who is right and gets some pluggage! The race is on now to see who comes in last in their division, I don't think they'll do worse than Philadelphia though.

Lot's of good guesses on this post, time will tell who will win and I will post it here when it happens.

Thanks for the fun guys!

sok 03-25-2007 06:51 PM

Don't rule them out just yet.......
DEAD LAST!
Can they get any farther back than that?
I'm embarrassed to admit that I used to have season tickets.
They beat the Red Wings.
????????????????????????????????????????????????
Just can't beat anyone in the East when it counts.
Rangers,Habs,Pens,Flyers?
Flyers? Worst team in the NHL.
Raiders/Texans of the NHL
F'n disgrace.
What was it a 5-0 rout today? I turned it off.
Chara should give money back. Highest paid defenceman in the NHL?
Joey McDonald is very good.
Tim Thomas could be great if he has good defence in front of him.
See above.
He don't.............
I'm glad racing has started............

If it wasn't for racing I would have to start watching baseball.

Sigh, I have been a die hard fan for the B's for quite some tome.

My mom even brought me as a young child to a Benny's to meet Cashmen, Hodge, and Phil Esposito.

I was even at the Garden the night Bourque literally took the jersey off his back to hang #7 to the rafters.

I was eating sushi at Misaki in Hyannis Ma, when none other then the great Robert G Orr came in to eat with his bride, either that guys has a wooden leg or his wife eats a lot, they must of ordered 50 to 80 pieces of sushi!!

But the major problem with the B's is this Jeromy Jacobs, CEO of the Boston Bruins, who in their right mind trades a franchise player of like of Joe Thorton?

This team will will be a bottom dweller for some time to come!

teaser 03-28-2007 10:53 PM

Okay, the way I see it I think either Stiperking70 or The Dad Fisherman is going to be the winner here. The Bruins have 6 games left and all are against very tough teams for the B's to beat so I don't see them moving up in the standings, they may get 2 points out of the next possible 12 but no more than that.

Stay tuned ...

clumber 03-29-2007 05:13 AM

This has been a brutal year for us Bruins fans.
They have shown flashes...but mostly...they just havent shown us anything. The thing that kills me most is their lack of toughness. I know that Stan Jonathan is not walking through the door. That form of hockey (for good or bad) is history. Someone, somewhere, better figure out what hockey is these days and fast. This great game is rapidly becoming a footnote.
We all know that if they could put together a decent team, the fans will be there. Boston (ie New England) is a hockey town. They just need a competitor.....and this team was never a competitor. Never.

teaser 04-10-2007 01:00 AM

Striperking70 is the winner!

PM coming your way.

afterhours 04-10-2007 06:47 AM

we've got a bad mgt team- lewis could'nt motivate anyone and chirelli traded away a few good ones. more woe indeed until someone prys this team from jacobs cold skinny fingers...

The Iceman 6 04-13-2007 07:43 AM

It still boggles my mind that the B's traded away Joe Thorton.

sok 04-14-2007 12:07 AM

go sox?
