test casting

when test casting a rod for placement of the butt guide, will the cold weather effect the rod's performance. i like the static test to position the upper guides and test casting to get the butt guide in line. i build rods in the winter so my testing is out in the cold, will i get true action on the rod in these conditions?

You'll have cold hands & a runny nose, but teh rod will perform the same. I don't believe that cold weather breaks graphite thing. I always sy the same thing - Loomis's break just teh same during the summer, lol.

i agree w/ billy in that you will only feel the cold, but i have felt a "tightening" feeling w/ some graphite blanks/rods when the temps dropped below 25-30. test away
