TELEMARKETERS

So I been having this problem with these jackwads calling 8-10 times a day. Hi this is Robert from home security robocaller..

So one day a few weeks ago I told them my name was jack kwan and they called me back from a place in rhode island...VMS Security systems. They have a company robocalling from washington state with very specific numbers.

I told them to stop calling me and every time they called from now on I was calling this security company back. They denied making the calls. Sure then why did someone call back from your company then.

Every time since I have held true to my word. I call them back. I push any old button on the phone system and get a different person every time. My only intent and I tell them usually after about 5 minutes is to waste their time as much as they waste mine. They usually slam the phone down :hee:

I told a guy last week in their billing dept to make sure I'm on their do not call list because of the amount of calls they give me. I asked him how he'd like it if he got interupted 10 times a day or more.

The calls haven't stopped and neither have I. Tonite they called from a number in Washington wanting to come out tomorrow and do a demo of their wireless security system and they were giving me free equipment. Cept the only thing is they addressed me by the Jack Kwan name and spouted off an address in Foxboro they had me listed at.

So tomorrow at 9am someone is going to be very unhappy that they drove to a house that either no-one is going to be home or better yet whoever answers the door is going to tell them they have no clue who they're looking for.

If the guy calls me tomorrow I'm going to tell him they had the wrong zip code and send him to Boxboro :rotf2:

This could be epic

THis is what I do.. they call and ask for me... I say 'oh hold on, i'll go get him, hes outside, He was just talking about needing this service you provide".. I put the phone down and go about my business for 10 minutes. sometimes they are still on the other end after 10 to 15 mintues.... :rotf2::rotf2::rotf2::rotf2:

life is way to short to waste your energy on this BS

PaulS 11-30-2011 08:37 PM

I just say no thanks, I'm not interested and if they continue I hang up.

I answer strange numbers with a Hispanic affect and say,
"No habla ingles. House-keeeeeper."

tysdad115 11-30-2011 10:35 PM

I usually go on in my best "flamboyant " voice about how I stalk Kevin Lemanowicz the fox 25 weatherman...one lady actually made it through 5 minutes on the phone. They don't call back.

I have heard about a guy getting called by a rugcleaning telemarketer and starting to talk about removing blood, could they come soon, it is really a big mess. He was so convincing that the telemarketer called the cops and had them go there.
I usually just let them talk to my wife, she can outtalk anyone.

UserRemoved1 12-01-2011 04:18 AM

Can't do that they call EVEN MORE. I've tried it.

Register your phone number at donotcall.gov. That is one of the few things the federal govt did right.

UserRemoved1 12-01-2011 09:27 AM

ha! Every phone number I got has been on them. Renewed too.

These guys don't seem to care about this stuff. If you google the phone numbers they do this all across the us.

They got whacked $900k last year in Pa.

Duke41 12-01-2011 10:52 AM

that is terrible #^&#^&#^&#^& heads

UserRemoved1 12-01-2011 12:35 PM

google this number and see what people have to say. There's why I can tell you that do not call doesn't work....

425-390-8128
253-246-8552

same company. Traces back to vms security in Warwick RI. That's who calls you back 10 minutes later when they leave your name.

I might be taking a ride soon.

UserRemoved1 12-01-2011 12:39 PM

"The phone numer that is calling you is VMS Alarms 60 Jefferson Park Road, Warwick, RI 02888, their real phone number is 888-892-9055, their real fax number is 401-490-3542, have fun with it!"

Same as who calls me.

"At least 6 calls a day. No message, and the few times I've answered it hangs up. So annoying."

"This company doesn't pay attention to "quit calling me". The only way is to force the issue. I would love to see them get involved in a class action lawsuit. Maybe having 10,000 people they have to pay $ out to would make them change their ways...."

"Better block 253-246-8535 while you're at it. They've been calling me 8 times a day from 253-246-8552, 8553 & 8535. Before that, they were calling me from 603-214-3653 which is no longer in service. Looks like the second one # gets shut off, they immediately start using another. Obama should send a CIA agent with an attitude problem to take care of these boneheads."

Imagine their phone bill every day. I'm betting they are shysters though.

UserRemoved1 12-01-2011 01:09 PM

They just called again. That wasnt a pretty call. Smartmouth, Spoofed caller id this time 345-3 was all the cid showed. Verizon says this is impossible. Sure it is.

striperman36 12-01-2011 02:40 PM

"On hold" message for telemarketers - YouTube

Raven 12-01-2011 07:42 PM

i terminated my phone(landline) today-all gone

it isn't worth to me to " pay" to be annoyed

justplugit 12-05-2011 09:39 PM

LOL Karl, too funnie. Carol actually started looking for our phone
when the " off the hook sound" started. :hihi:
Gotta love the music. :D

ecduzitgood 12-06-2011 08:05 AM

Look into a Uniden dect 6.0 which allows you to block calls. I got mine at Staples and have been very happy since, calls that have no caller id are blocked along with 20 that you select to block.
That hold message is great Karl.

Tell them your name is John Kerry and give the this # (617) 565-8519

UserRemoved1 12-06-2011 04:16 PM

doesn't work for forwarded numbers though. Don't work on cell numbers too.

I had some doozies today. I am getting downright RUDE with them now.

So last week I had a discussion with this guy at the vms alarm number in Warwick. I gave him my name and two numbers they were calling and told him if they kept calling me I'd keep calling them back and wasting their time. NOW the #^&#^&#^&#^&ers are calling addressing me by NAME. Following up on my alarm system. You got to be kidding me.

I hate this bs. :smash:

I got hung up on a bunch today. At some point they're going to call the cops on me and when they do I'll be all too happy to show my documentation of all the calls.

Press 1 I got some grumpage for ya WTF

UserRemoved1 12-06-2011 04:18 PM

I shut down 3 times today to answer the telephone from these morons. These are being forwarded to my cell.

Just a ridiculous amount of wasted time.

Is it against the law to mail someone a chipmunk carcass?

ecduzitgood 12-06-2011 05:50 PM

It helps but I still miss Larry ;(
Look into the Uniden, it will reduce the level of frustration.

Well today I got 3 calls for refinancing my credit cards and on top of that I won a 4 night cruise!

I let the cruise guy spout off for about 5 minutes while I worked then I asked him if he was going and he said no. So I asked him if his mother was going

At that point the guy starts laughing. He actually said to me " haha we call you every day don't we"

grumpage :smash:

JohnnyD 12-07-2011 05:06 PM

Answer the phone: "Hello, this is a recorded line..." No personal experience, but have heard that it can be a deterrent.

Also, what kind of freaky things are you signing up for? My business line and email have been posted to the web for over 8 years and I rarely get spam emails or phone solicitations.

Maybe you pissed off the wrong person who knows your contact details and they are going around signing you up for all sorts of weird stuff.
